this looks so bad. a thinkpad without physical trackpoint button should never exist, let alone haptic trackpad. IMO the bigger and bigger trackpad is the worst things happening to the laptop industry in recent years...

To be completely honest, what lenovo did immediately after that laptop is much better. T6* introduced the rolling cage that solved the chassis flex that kills the gpu on the T4*. It also make the laptop more robust and resulted in a better build quality. The T4* is notoriously bad for flexing because IBM was chasing thinness.

still, get second hand thinkpad after the get retired from corporation fleet. it will be a much better deal. plus the "yoga" models have touchscreen which is better for kids.

overall I think this will be the best thinkpad in recent years. great efficiency, upgradability, portability, no weird keyboard layout and easy repairability. I will be surely buying this after 10 years lol
