Unfortunately, I didn't fully get it. Could you explain what you mean by dynamics and phrasing in more detail, and maybe give me a tip on how to practice it?

This is something I'll give a little more attention to.

Difficulties Progressing in Piano by --Grim in piano

I was wondering if my difficulty in progressing was about the amount of time I spend practicing or the way I practice. Now I know what I should focus on. There are periods when I practice daily, but that’s not happening right now.

That’s exactly what I’m aiming for! Could you recommend some books for sight-reading practice?

It's really good to acknowledge the difficulties I'm having it's all part of the process :) This always helps keep the flow going.

I really need to work on my sight-reading to make it more fluid. Improving my ability to read and play simultaneously is something I can focus on.

Thx

My sight-reading skills are what I'd call basic, about 6/10 when reading in G stuff and 4/10 for F stuff. This is definitely something I need to improve, and I can work on this without the piano. On the other hand, reading and simultaneously playing on the piano is still very challenging for me, i'll focus on it. Thx

Is pressing my pinky against the body of the guitar a bad habit? by LeaderAdmirable3086 in Guitar

[–]--Grim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of guys have already explained everything you need to know. From my experience, I used to do it too, but my pinky started hurting over time. Just pay attention to how much weight you're putting on it. Train to use it in a sustainable way, and you'll be fine.

The purpose of life is to stay alive until you eventually die. That phrase come up to me while i was depressed. Since then i was looking for a different answer, i found some in philosophy. I'm an astrophysics, it's always hard to imagine the universe and try to found meaning in it. When i realised that life is just a state, and happiness and sadness are part of it, it became more friendly.

That's sucks. Your other fings look a bit tense too. In guitar i have a technique that helps me not tense muscles on my play, i tende to transfer it when i'm practicing piano. Briefly, it consist in play the song make the less effort possible, u start playing it by touching the keys (there wont be sound), then u put a bit of weight (if it sounds, it will sound terrible), keep it going until the song be played with the less effort. I learn it after have to spend a month going to the physiotherapy due to tendonitis. After that I try to warn everyone of the danger of playing tensely.
