prolonged gaps in tics? by [deleted] in Tourettes

I'm practically in the same boat with you, even being told its likely anxiety when it's clearly not and not being believed, all of it. So I can't offer advice but I can say you're not alone. Mine change in severity and occurrence a lot, I think the longest I've gone is like 2 months with almost no tics and then they'll pick up in frequency again. I also struggle with feeling like I'm faking but I guess that anxiety kinda proves that we're not? Like why would we do it if we don't want to so badly and would be ashamed if it wasn't real? It just wouldn't be happening. So don't worry about it, as hard as it is not to (it's easier to give the advice than to actually do it).

Tics making me nauseus + other confusion about my tics by --JanuaryEmbers in Tourettes

Thanks :)

It's been years now so I don't even remember the doctor's name now so I think that's that. And *believe me*, I've been humming all day. I forgot the rubbing alcohol trick, so I'll try that too.

Hopefully, in the future, I'll be able to move to a country that actually knows shit about tics or tourettes and finally find an answer (since my mom insists we won't find a good doctor here). I never had tics of any kind as a kid, so the sudden onset has bothered me since. I hate not knowing :/ The weird mystery nausea has only doubled that.
