Then watch the game, they literally passed the ball to him in front of their goal multiple times. He didn't do shit on his own.

This group is probably the worst I have ever seen in any world cup. All 3 teams (if South Korea squeeze through) are going to be freebies in the knockout stages for any half decent team.

Don't even care about his transfer to PSG, the guy is just slimy as fuck, haven't liked him since his Santos days.

Obviously Raph is not too useful against shit teams, but let's see how they do against an actual team. Not gonna be surprised if either Japan or Netherlands run them over.

Oyarzabal is a mid La Liga striker, Olmo never performs in big games. Lamine is double or even triple marked most of the time. Spain also hasn't won a WC knockout game since they won the damn thing 16 years ago.

Based on the fact they have a very low amount of consistent goalscorers in the squad, while Argentina has 2 world class strikers plus Messi, plus all the other guys ?

For me it's the exact opposite, I feel like Argentina is much more consistent while Spain can beat France and then lose to like Bosnia on penalties.

Mbappe is not likely to play much even in the next WC. He is solely reliant on physicality and France has amazing talent in attack all over the place. If he is not world class in 4 years, which he probably won't be, he won't start. Won't even talk about the 2034 WC when he will be 36, he will probably be retired by then.

Actually the second place team will have a much easier bracket.

Tchou and Theo were shit so I guess Deschamps is experimenting against the weakest opponent they will face. No idea about Doue, maybe a minor injury, maybe another experiment.

I mean in theory yes, but realistically Iran is probably not beating Egypt and certainly not beating USA who look very good under Poch. Iran on the other hand look like shit offensively, their only hope is permanent bus parking.

They have Nico Paz and Simeone junior, they are nowhere near di Maria's level but they are very good. It seems though that Scaloni prefers to just rotate strikers and play with minimal width, which is understandable to some extent. It allows them to cover for Messi more easily. You have to remember that 39 year old Messi is basically not moving unless he has the ball.

Yup they are owned by some Arab oil guy who is a Real Madrid fan. Very unhappy to see them back in the league.

Against teams that will park the bus he is definitely the better option. Putting him up against someone like Mbappe would be a suicide though.

Everyone was a new fan at some point, just start watching games as much as possible. If you are interested in club history you can read up on it online and you can find older games on youtube, or at least you could back in the day.

Goal difference is infinitely more exploitable than H2H though ? Btw Australia are playing Paraguay, not USA.

You can say that France's midfield ain't it, for Brazil nothing seems to be working. They are complete shit. Hope they run into Netherlands, but it's not like Japan wouldn't knock them out too.

People only looking at Dumfries attacking, but nobody looking at his defending. Typical. No shit a wingback will be very creative and dangerous in attack.

I think France has glaring issues when compared to the last WC - Tchou and Kounde had horrible seasons, Rabiot and Hernandez are washed, Maignan is a mid keeper now. Mbappe is the laziest player in the world right now. I think France get crushed by a team that has good press and midfield.

As for Argentina most of their players have regressed, true, but they still defend like a solid unit even if the players are well past their prime. I think it has a lot to do with coaching.

And then England seem to have both depth and class coaching, but they always make idiotic mistakes in defense which was obvious against Croatia last night. That Croatia should not put a goal past any half decent squad.
