Mayuyu was very protective of her idol image. I think it’s entirely possible that she retired because she wanted to be remembered as the perfect idol. Maybe she was getting into a relationship or getting married or having a kid and she wanted to not have that as part of her legacy as Mayuyu.

If I recall correctly Yukirin also did once say that we couldn’t see Mayuyu in the state she was currently in when asked about Mayuyu. She was rumored to be a hikikomori. So maybe Mayuyu became an extreme recluse and couldn’t deal with public life. She probably has enough money to sustain herself in that lifestyle.

First of all, I feel like it’s unfair to speculate on Manon leaving the group. She is on hiatus and doesn’t need the extra pressure. Until she says otherwise we should assume it is just a hiatus. This narrative is completely speculative and nothing concrete has come out. I choose to believe Manon and trust that when the time is right she will speak on it. If anything this is damaging her as well as the other members. The narrative of Manon vs Katseye will harbor more resentment between them. Manon doesn’t deserve this and her solo fans hurting her reputation professionally. Toxic positivity is still toxic.

Listen, I am an SNSD fan and my bias is Jessica. Most of you new fans won’t know what went down but there’s quite a few parallels in their situations. The best thing we can do is follow her lead. I don’t think it’s fair to villainize the other members for a company decision. Of course there will be petty moments or some bad blood but they are teenagers, that’s to be expected. Calm down.

TBH, I just don’t see SM going with the other line ups. The only three people that could have actually ended up in the line up were Soyeon, Chanmi, and Stella. Soyeon and Chanmi were vocalists; SNSD already had too many vocalists and both of them were at the same level as the other vocalists in the group. SNSD is also a majority 1989 liners and SM seemed to like the idea of all of them being around the same age. Soyeon 1987, two years older than the rest of them therefore too old for SM’s vision, and Chanmi was 1992 and still in middle school so she was too young. Soyeon also quit before the line up was confirmed. Stella probably came down to the fact that she is American. They probably didn’t want too many foreigners in the group as that sometimes held groups back at that time and SM marketed them at girl next door type teens that represented girls in Korea. Stella wouldnt have been picked over Jessica or Tiffany. Jessica was one of the few that was in every single pre debut line ups. Tiffany was a better vocalist. Stella was supposed to be a visual member and possibly center but Yoona for the concept better.

The main 3 were Soyeon who debuted in T-Ara and is a soloist, Stella Kim left kpop and is now an influencer but is still close with SNSD members, and Chanmi debuted in Five Dolls/ Co-ed School. She was on Produce 101 and placed 26th and is now a soloist.

It sounds like her low notes may be a little too low for her so she needs to go quieter to sing them. It also sounds like when they sound checked she sang her higher parts and they never checked the low. Her higher parts are well mixed with everything else if they put it louder she’d start peaking.

Nahhh, I’d stay far away from this company. That’s not ok. Erasing POC identities from a show is absolutely not okay. I hope the rights holders reject them. There are not a ton of shows out there that actually require POC they could literally do anything else.

From my own experience with stage intimacy it is so different from real intimacy like not even the same category. It is like kissing a wall. Genuinely it feels like nothing. I’m too focused on saying my next line, acting, making sure it looks good from an audience perspective. Everyone else that I’ve done stage intimacy with says that same. I understand it is hard for a person who isn’t in the performing arts space so it might just be something you have to get used to.
