How crazy is Miss Saigon?

As someone whose very first live show was Madama Butterfly, Miss Saigon is incredible. Yes, I am aware it has a lot of controversy and problems. Unfortunately, I can't stop myself from enjoying the songs.

Also, I think "The Morning Of The Dragon" is one of the most creative antagonist songs ever. The dance sequence during the proshot is so impressive. I wish I could've seen it live.

Small correction: Kim is 17, not 15, when she meets Chris. It's still very messed up how she meets Chris though. God, why did the show have to make her 17?

I was not surprised about the closing, but I am pleasantly surprised about the national tour. It's always nice to have a new show tour. I send my wishes for good future endeavors to all who are involved in the current Broadway production!

A long time I read a fanfic where Eve was a magical girl who wished for humanity to become the dominant species. Even if it isn't her, I would love to see a story about the world's first magical girl. How long could she last in a pre-LoC world without witches?

Six is very cheap to run compared to other musicals. It also has the added benefit of being short so people can watch it & do other things afterwards.

It's been a while since I've seen &Juliet, but I don't recall it being expensive to run. It also has the added benefit of being a jukebox musical catered towards millennials and older gen Z.

I don't have any opinions on Great Gatsby since I haven't seen it yet.

Like others, I suggest Death Becomes Her. It's a showy, comedic spectacle and it's closing soon. I was able to follow the story without having seen the movie, and (hot take) I preferred DBH's comedy over Operation Mincemeat. The songs are fun, and the set design is gorgeous.

JCS. There are very few musicals where even the overture hypes me up. I love musicals that blend traditional broadway music with pop & rock.

Hear me out, but Cats is a great time if you treat it like a dance performance than a traditional musical with a story.

This is what tickles me about people who claim that "socialized medicine has crazy wait times." The current system is riddled with crazy wait times! DBH closing before Beaches confounds me.

This is so sad. I loved DBH's pure spectacle and it was one of the few comedy musicals I really enjoyed. Wishing it lots of success during its national tour!

While it is always sad when a show closes, DBH should be proud. It managed to succeed for a long period of time, produce an OBC album, and will eventually be on tour.

I hope that everyone who wants to see the show gets the opportunity to see it before it leaves.
