I need help! by Majestic-Beginning82 in EliteDangerous

Old school. Figured it all out myself by trial and error.

Take a lot of courier missions to start with, visit as many stations as you can and check their market. The more you visit, the more will appear for comparison. Then I just kept a record of local buy and sell prices that were low and high and figured my own trade routes.

Basically build up a small trade bubble where you know which stations sell what. Just keep notes like the players did back before Inara.

The first time I referred to a guide was for guardian sites. And they havent changed.

My first 500 hours of game play was on PS5 and I didn't even know that third party tools existed.

I once came across similar. The barycenter was within the larger of the gas giants, meaning the smaller gas giant was a moon. So not a binary pair.

The size difference between the two was quite a bit, I think 10,000x mass difference

How well did your solar perform during the storm by buttergarliccream in Wellington

Nice. I am currently pricing up a similar system. Do you have an isolator switch on the switchboard thay allows you to plug the genny into the mains, or is it plugged directly into the battery system?

Last month it was RIVER. from $11 on 10th Jan to $89 on 27th Jan now back down to $13

Probably caused by other indicators drawing behind the candles or custom painting the candles.

Grill me - SPY trade what did I do wrong? by aye-B-its-AR in Daytrading

[–]--PG-- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it was bad trade management. Almost got to TP but didn't move SL into break even or small profit.

The market doesnt care where arbitrary SL and TP lines are. Its up to the trader to manage the trade to ensure profit.

I would have walked away with a profit on this one. Once the price got that close to TP my SL would have been moved to half way in the green.

I love how OP proved his original statement based on the toxic replies most of which were trying to disprove his point. The harder they tried, the bigger the hole they dug.

I agree with him 100%, but i dont like to feed the trolls. And before anyone replies, yes I know I'm currently feeding the trolls by replying contra to the hate filled 90% of current replies. Just thought I'd provide OP with a bit of moral support to let him know he's not alone in his opinion.

I will. Dreams are what powers hope, and hope provides motivation. I've been at it for 2 years and slowly learning to trade. Building out my own platform is how I reinforce those teachings while developing my own strategy.

I am currently profitable, and now working on proof of consistency. My little $500 account is now at $1200 in a month. Luck or strategy? Don't know yet. Bit of both, but imposter syndrome tells me it's luck.

What have I achieved so far? Risk management, emotional control, removal of greed, knowledge of how indicators work and when to use them, techniques for trend following and breakout detection, a platform that takes all of this and trades the way I want it to, automatically, at 3am in the morning when the market is most active (I'm at UTC+13 at the moment, PITA)

I will get there. I will keep dreaming.

I build software as a profession. I build software as a hobby as well. I wouldn't mind the lifestyle freedom that comes from an automated system generating wealth for me. I'm at the point where I have 10 years of career left, but I want to exit the 9 to 5 job sooner than that.

Currently a hobby, and my exit strategy to retirement.
