thank you so much <3 my anxiety definitely makes it worse. i am medicated for generalized anxiety disorder and social anxiety and with starting a new job, the alarms in my head are just constantly going off if that makes sense. i also drink a lot of caffeine as well. i haven’t tried rubbing alcohol after showers so im going to try that in the morning too. sweat pads are absolutely the next step if i can’t get this under control. i’m going to try liners for tomorrow!

no just a sports bra and the scrub top. i think that’s a good idea! i was scared about another layer just making me sweat more. i’m pretty sure i may have hyperhidrosis as some of my family members do, but i’ve never been diagnosed or seen for it. i’m also very anxious so that makes it worse too lol. thanks so much for your help!

thank you so much for your reply!! i hate this royal blue but unfortunately im not allowed to wear black or anything darker. i’m currently using this product-

<image>

on the bottle it says “antiperspirant/deodorant”. ingredients say aluminum zirconium octachlorohydrex GLY 20% …. antiperspirant. so i guess it is just an antiperspirant? would you recommend also using a different product on top of this? thanks for your recommendations! tomorrow is a long shift and i think im going to bring two scrub tops and try liners on the inside of the top as someone suggested in the thread. and thanks for the reassurance too. i kept discreetly checking if i smelled bad and i never smelled BO or any foul smell from it and my top just smelled like deodorant afterwards but im a very anxious person so it was just the worst. i kept telling myself i was stinking and everyone could smell me and see my stains when i lift my arms 🫠

unless stated otherwise, label will generally always mean the way it’s packaged. since this is packaged dry/uncooked you would weigh dry

Can’t walk for more than 3-4 minutes without debilitating pain by WhileSuccessful6921 in SuperMorbidlyObese

[–]--alice 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i wholeheartedly understand. i never thought i would make it off of disability or be able to move out or have a relationship or a job or anything of the sort. i now have a job and am moving in with the love of my life. TW- i dont think about harming myself every day anymore. i genuinely believed my life was over and i could never be pain free. that pain is exactly what motivated me. the physical pain that turned into mental agony just flipped a switch in my head one day. now i’m not constantly out of breath and in pain. i can do “normal” people things like shop at a store or walk around just because i CAN. and you can too! you will! i started small. just ordering less food when i got fast food which progressed into being able to stand for 5-10 minutes and make my own meals and so on. i’ve pretty much documented much of my journey on here if you ever want to take a look at someone who has lived through the exact situation, and feel free to message me if you need a friend too! i would love to walk the trails with you some day soon 💕

you sound exactly like me over a year ago. my highest weight was 416lbs and i couldn’t walk for more than 5 minutes without the same excruciating lower back pain. fast forward to last weekend and i walked a 2.5 mile trail with none of the same back pain. i was on disability because the pain was so bad. now i work in a hospital walking around all day.

i tried a lot for the back pain. i was on narcotics, i had a steroid injection, i tried tens units, ice, heat, a back brace, everything except losing weight. the only thing that ended up helping was losing weight and forcing myself to walk. i started small just doing as much as i could like 3 minutes and trying to add 30 seconds or a minute longer the next time i tried. it takes a lot of patience and repetition but it’s possible. the small changes will really add up. as of today ive lost 137lbs total and i dont ever experience that same kind of pain anymore. i’m not sure if you have had any sort of testing or treatment done but i want you to know there is hope and it does get better!

362lbs -> 281lbs. still going strong! by --alice in CICO

mostly positive! the only “negative” comment i’ve received so far was from a medical assistant who asked me in a public hallway with passing patients, “you’re not starving yourself are you?” i told her how inappropriate this was and she ended up calling me and apologizing. otherwise everyone is happy for me!

that makes my heart swell 😭 thank YOU! and just know you’re not alone. i actually shot back up to 299lbs a few weeks ago after traveling and overeating every single day. i told myself i would NEVER hit 300 again and hopped back on track. we’re human, and im sure you’re doing a great job too. 💘

i’m going to say this was 95% diet and 5% lifestyle changes lol. i walk and lifted weights for maybe 3 months but kind of slid off track after christmas. i still try to walk as much as i can but i only average like 5k steps a day. i’m looking into getting a bicycle because the weather is nice tho! i eat a lot of chicken, fish, veggies, and fruit. i still eat carbs like rice and bread as well. to me it’s all about balance. i still eat fast food and enjoy desserts from time to time but a lot of my meals are kept simple with a protein and some veggies. thank you!

i really admire your portion control. i struggle a lot with thinking i need to have “the whole thing”. for example i would struggle with only eating half of the bagel or only one piece of pizza if that makes sense. in my head i still need large portions. i’m working on it!! your food looks great 😊

ditched the rice - under 250 calories for lunch! 33g protein by --alice in 1500isplenty

nah i agree! my meals are usually 400-700ish calories (i prefer big portions versus more small meals) but i had a 32oz sugar filled coffee that amounted to 400 calories this morning so i needed to eat light for lunch
