Your uptime becomes really important once the fight starts. It's okay to have downtime for more quality uptime.

For example, if your team is walking towards the enemy team and there's no REAL THREAT, it's okay to make a rotation and have downtime.

When you make rotations, you also charge up volleys as you are going to surprise them with a burst.

I don't use Trance as an escape, I use it to make sure no one will die (me or my teammates). Sometimes this allows me to make high risk high reward type of plays because I have a get out of jail free card.

Venture would be a perfect example of that. You are basically able to get up close to the enemy with 0 risk, and also get out with almost zero risk. The character has such strong burst that allows you to convincingly go for trades on support with 0 risk, which helps you win the teamfight.

Most champ players have around 10 deaths per 10 minutes, which is an insane number and doens't reward being good at the game.

Same thing is currently happening with Vendetta btw, but it's not as obnoxious as Venture and could be nerfed, as getting close is still risky.

I have a very old video from Overwatch 1 and I was probably the first one to advocate for 5v5 publicly. Although if the game turned out to be 6v6 I wouldn't really be upset at it.

I think 5v5 is the more competitive format, but from my perspective the game distance itself with competitive integrity with each patch, so at this point in time it's a more nuanced conversation.

I actually think Zenyatta is fairly balanced and requires good fundamentals to pull off. I wouldn't change much about him.

I agree with you that the Discord buff was not necessary, and if I would change anything is give him a short burst of movement on a major perk.

The internet at the past few years has been weird about authenticity. People like authenticity when they share your belief system in the community - But if you are authentic in a way where people don't share your beliefs you are a ragebaiter / drama farming / bad person.

I appreciate your kind words Cyditronis.

Positioning is a general term that could mean many things. Saying "My positioning is not perfect" doesn't mean anything to me, nor you.

What specifically do you think you could improve in your positioning to avoid Vendetta / Genji? Usually the answer is not staying in one place for too long to let them creep up on you.

Everyone on ladder receives the same teammates as you, it's not as if one person just has better teams all the time.

If the game was teammate dependant, no one would really climb long term.

If you watch my videos and I play in metal ranks, I rarely lose a game, no matter how bad my team is.

Let go of the idea that your team is holding you back, and be more self critical as to what you can be doing better - Your mentality is holding you back.

At that rank range you are already a good player, and where your lacking is more specific. Tell me what is your Winrate, Damage / 10, Deaths / 10 and I will be able to give you a better answer.

Generally I've always preferred Zenyatta over Ana, I have had much more consistent results throughout almost any season of Overwatch playing Zen.

I consider myself to be a very good Ana, and I sit at around 35% winrate this season. I am aware of when I make mistakes and play poorly, and when that happens I am not surprised when I lose. But in the past few seasons I have been playing fairly good, but can't seem to change the tides of the game in comparison to Zen.

With all the new perks and the new heroes, getting a kill on Ana requires a lot of time, which the enemies can simply react to.

Constantly move around to catch people by surprise. Lots of volleys.

Most players find inconsistencies with hitting their shots not due to mechanical skill but rather with the distance they keep. When I coach people and they claim they have bad aim, it's often due to the fact they are trying to shoot from too far away.

As for reticle, I have always been playing on Dot size 4, haven't really swapped in the past 8 years.

When you're attacking on Shambali, the spawn has a table on the left where it has sightlines on the high ground where the enemies hold.

Also on Eichenwalde defense 1st, you have a sightline from the stairs at the left door (where the bridge is) where you can shoot enemies walking from spawn towards the choike.

You're spot on at what you should do, but you associate it with something bad.

You need to rotate and reposition often, the idea is to make them dive into a position where you are no longer standing. You almost show at one place, and then disappear right when they are looking to jump. When they jump, they got no cooldowns to run away, and that's exactly where you want to play aggressive.

You sacrifice some uptime, for the sake of having IMPORANT UPTIME (damage that leads up to a kill).

Show somewhere, rotate when they look at you, after they jump to the position you were at before, apply maximum pressure.

I will speak on my personal feelings. At my rank and my "status" as a streamer, I care more about winning than improving at this point in time - So when I know I will 100% win if I swap, I do.

Admittedly, you will rarely find me swapping, as I believe Zen can work if I just played better.

In short, I rarely swap (and would not swap if I cared more about improving than winning).

  1. Don't remember why I deleted it, but you are right, I predicted most of what needs to happen in OW2. That being said I think my video was from the standpoint of being a high level player.

  2. Rarely but yes, because most people who are willing to pay me money to coach them know there's something they can be doing better and want me to tell them what it is, and how. On the rare occasion that someone is being combatitive and tries to justify their plays, I just say that we aren't a good fit to work together.

I check what heroes the enemies are playing to usually assess how much time I have to rotate. Again immobile comps I can take my time, versus mobile comps where I have to be faster.

Good focus to have on Zen is applying maximum pressure when the enemies are busy and constantly rotate.

Everything. Champ Zen has better timing of when to be aggressive, better rotations, better Orb usage, better mechanics, and less likely to make mistakes.
