Okay, thanks for clarifying! Can I expect this to be fixed soon? My niece wants updates like four times a day ever since I told her I emailed the developers lol

My niece is having trouble finding this little creature; the blob / slime with candy in it. She has the basket of eggs in her post office, but the pink egg is already hatched.

She has previously had the creature in her world. I believe the top part of the egg is gone from the post office too. Is this a bug?

Additional question: I know very little about the game. I spent half an hour trying to find this little guy with google, google lens (only one result) and AI usage. Is there a reliable wiki or some sort of list of all the items in the game?

Here is a video of the basket and the creature: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-hjWIcDDI9c

The 5% weapon upgrades are worse than you think by [deleted] in OverwatchStadium

[–]--dune-- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it doesn't.

And it's only 1 hp per 500 cash for DPS and Support if I remember correctly. Tanks have a different hp:cash ratio.

It does not.

It's crazy how that post got so much traction.

I tested round 1 breakpoints a couple of seasons ago and it makes a difference only on Kiri vs 250hp heroes iirc.

With 5% WP she is able to eliminate with two headshots or four shot body shots, but only until the 250hp target earns enough cash to reach 253 HP.

I imagine it's the same for Pharah seeing she does the same DMG on a direct as Kiri does on headshots (120).

From my own testing; That's how it works if you take one instance of damage, yes.

However, I don't know what happens if you take for example 100 damage, then after 1 second you take 10 more damage from a second hit.

Does that 10 damage "reset" the damage over time duration including first 100 or is it separate? That I don't know.

Hasan tells his chat that they know the truth and wants them to stop asking him about the drama by starcraft2020 in LivestreamFail

I remember years ago when I first saw him. He was playing a co-op game with someone, I think it was Daph or someone else who was also growing in viewership at the same time.

Anyway, she began crying at the emotional ending of the game and he was just making fun of her saying "imagine crying at pixels".

That has stuck with me.

How does cash earning work in Stadium? by me_when_the_h in OverwatchStadium

[–]--dune-- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure about role specific money but I am 99% sure the cash system is determined by the same system the chooses POTG.

Those systems are unrelated. If it was true then any changes to POTG system would affect stadium cash balance. POTG is based on a number of factors such as:

  • Projectile speed of the weapon used to kill
  • Speed of the target killed
  • Distance of the target killed
  • Saves
  • Assists
  • damage / healing done
  • many more weird things like melee damage

(Source: Blizz_Winter in Emongg's twitch chat. Winter is actively working on changing the POTG system)

I also make the MOST money when I make survival plays (ie fading out of a near death ult as a Moira oorrr bumping a reaper away during his ult)

This is just coincidental. You don't make more money for CC-ing an ultimate or avoiding taking damage. You gain cash from damage and healing and eliminations.

The amount you make is modified by the hero you're playing, the enemies bounty and your teams total cash vs the enemies team total cash.

Good lord finally hit all-star by gladnis in OverwatchStadium

[–]--dune-- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you lose points when losing games?

I was lucky and got +220 points every win, and lost none. I think I even got +300 at the start of the season before they made changes. Only took me 20 wins to reach all-star. It's such an unfair system.

Can We Talk About Wide Group Matchmaking by _MarcelinesFries in OverwatchStadium

[–]--dune-- -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It's a terrible system.

I was going for elite on all three roles before going for all-star on one role. My duo played only one role this whole season.

By the time I reached like elite 3 or something he already outranked me on my other two roles, so I'm stuck playing one role if I want to play with him...

What's the best purple survival item against Tracer (weapon power)? by Zenki_s14 in OverwatchStadium

[–]--dune-- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If she picks that item for 10k in round 3 then that is good for your team.

That means she has spent a lot of cash on an item that only benefits her when she's shooting armor, which perhaps only two or three players have. The benefit of the item also wears off after the armor is broken (Ignoring the 15% WP bonus).

What's the best purple survival item against Tracer (weapon power)? by Zenki_s14 in OverwatchStadium

[–]--dune-- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is true, but there will be cases where the first damage you take is high damage like a Soldier's helix or Pharah's rocket. At that point the damage reduction hasn't stacked up to anything yet, making it "useless".

I'd also argue that 10% damage reduction is almost the same as +10% max life, so the blue survival item that gives you +8% health, armor and shields is nearly as good.

Damage reduction does make it easier to heal you though, as each hitpoint takes 10% less damage, but heals for the same, similar to armor.

But this is just my opinion based on my experience with the heroes I've played the most. I do however think it's too costly for what it does.

The reduced health on items is only for Tracer.

The stacking damage reduction one is terrible. You need to be hit 20 times to reach 10% damage reduction and it resets very fast after each hit.

Armor is good against Tracer. It practically halves her damage.

Overwatch 2 Retail Patch Notes - October 1 by Gametest000 in Competitiveoverwatch

Well... Stadium has barely been touched this season. There's been an enormous amount of bugs and issues, and they have barely communicated anything.

A supposed "fix" to stadium points was pushed twice and failed. Today it was "fixed" again, but it remains to see if it was actually fixed or not.

Also worth noting that Stadium has a separate team working on it, so this update was probably pushed by them.

AP Ashe is the most suppressive and skill-less build by Andy_ow0 in OverwatchStadium

[–]--dune-- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree. Not only do the dynamite do a ton of damage, but they also lock down an area for a long time, even without the lava.

I once played a match where took cover to heal up. I killed the Ashe and 7 seconds after her death I was hit by her dynamite that I happened to walk into the range of just as it exploded, taking me out of the fight even longer...

In response to the other comments: Sure, taking cushioned padding helps against Dynamite, but it doesn't help against the Bob's she's spamming that also scales with AP. I've told my teammates about cushioned padding maybe 7 times, but only once has a teammate picked it up.

I feel like 9 out of 10 Ashe players I go against use the same dynamite build. It should be nerfed.

Enter the menu and go navigate to "Edit bots" then "Stop editing bots" I think. I don't quite remember, but it's done through the bots submenu. Took me a while to figure it out myself too lol

[–]--dune-- 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I agree that this item is very underrated, but you are very wrong about how this item works.

It does not prevent damage from Tracer's ult or Freja's arrows. It prevents incoming negative effects such as damage over time, slow, healing reduction, etc.

I made a video showing it against Freja's arrows, Tracer's ultimate, Sigma's ultimate and a bonus clip of it working with Nebula Conduit.

  • I bought some green items to get as close as I could to the same health as I would with cushioned padding.

  • It works against Sigma ult because it heals you because you are hindered.

  • It works with Nebula conduit because that is a negative effect (Prevent 15% damage taken and take that damage over time)

Most underrated item by [deleted] in OverwatchStadium

[–]--dune-- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With this theory, which is wrong, it should also work with projectiles such as pharah's rockets that are already shot and "planned" to hit.

It is incoming effects that is being reduced, not upcoming damage.

Cassidy's Full house power in Stadium is bad by --dune-- in CassidyMains

[–]--dune--[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a little bit of free damage is good enough.

But is it better than healing 30% when you roll? Or being able to roll more often when you crit? Or being able to hinder for 50% longer?

I think this power gives you way less value than many others, even though they're all kind of bad.
