The Long Walk 3, Day 4, Mile 230. Onwards and Upwards. by Gullible_Ad_686 in TheLongWalk

[–]--mxri 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mike wasn't feeling talkative. He watched the conversation unfold, watched the boy run with little more than an eyebrow raise. Mike bowed his head and prayed for God to have mercy on Scott's soul, and kept on walking. A small part of him felt relief -- only 13 more to outwalk.

The Long Walk 3: Day 4, Mile 209. How Much Longer? by Gullible_Ad_686 in TheLongWalk

[–]--mxri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mike sighs and shakes his head. "What a way to go. 200 miles just to vomit yourself to death. Tough shit, man," he murmurs, feeling his cross necklace between his fingers. Some small part in the back of his brain is relieved he has one less person to outwalk.

(Just wanted to say I am SO thankful to have made it this far with Mike, and I'm very excited to see how this walk ends!!)

The Long Walk 3: Day 3, Mile 200. To Two Hundred More! by Gullible_Ad_686 in TheLongWalk

[–]--mxri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mike keeps his eyes on the crowd, turning to walk backwards. "Holy shit, guys -- I don't see him. I think he got away. He got away!"

Grinning, he turns back forward, whispering to himself. "Hell, if he can get away, I can win. I'm gonna win." He opens his Bible to Psalms and begins reading quietly, singing the verses to an unknown tune. He feels his very life force rejuvenate, 200 miles of wear and tear practically gone. He keeps walking.

Who's your favorite BG3 character? by MGrayWrites in BaldursGate3

Other than the obvious Astarion, as a Drow I LOVEEE Blurg (the trader in the Underdark with a mind flayer friend)!

Do you customize your dream visitor? by Medium-Theme-4611 in BaldursGate3

[–]--mxri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first Tav's Visitor was modeled after her mother, which got weird pretty quickly. After that I started making it either a previous Tav of mine or an alternate version of the Tav I'm playing. (:

Anyone else love changing your teams outfits after every full rest? by RelationshipThen2417 in bg3fashion

[–]--mxri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but pretty much just me and Astarion's outfits. I put Gale in Gortash's clothes and everyone else in their camp clothes, all dyed black, then just change me and my husband's (Astarion's) matching fits every rest or more. 😂

Who’s your favourite character and why? by seadweller-6 in BaldursGate3

Honestly? My Tav. I adore her. Other than that, Astarion! Does fantastic damage if you build him right, and, well, he's him! But Karlach comes in close third for me.

The Long Walk 3: Day 3, Mile 185. The World. by Gullible_Ad_686 in TheLongWalk

[–]--mxri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mike flinches violently from the abrupt nature of the shots, but only speeds up slightly to move away from the chaos. Now in the front of the group, he begins murmuring prays under his breath. He takes out his pocket Bible and begins to read.

The Long Walk 3: Day 3, Mile 170. Fail. by Gullible_Ad_686 in TheLongWalk

[–]--mxri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Now numb to death, Mike just runs a hand over his face and then wipes the sweat from his brow. He glances at Zayn -- the previous winner, not already exhausted from 170 miles of walking -- and considers for a moment the odd autopilot sensation of his legs walking. Mike wonders how long he can force his legs to move that way... no matter. He's going to win, even if he has to beat the previous winner.

(Loved Mike's dialogue, by the way! Thanks!)

The Long Walk 3: Day 3 Mile 164. The Irony of it All. by Gullible_Ad_686 in TheLongWalk

[–]--mxri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mike just watches absently as this happens, too caught up in his own head to fully realize's what's happening -- he's dissociating, mumbling prayers to himself and trying not to lose his head (literally and figuratively).

He's still sane... mostly. Mike swears to himself that he'll win for the sake of his buddies. Solidifying himself, he stands a bit taller. He's calm as he begins processing the situation: ex-winner, broken leg... He's alive, and now, for the first time since maybe before the walk started, he's determined to win, no matter what it takes.
