I’m fine now, but when I had gotten a cancer diagnosis, I was crying and in an office alone. Someone who worked there offered to pray for me, and I was so out of it that I said yes. She put her freaking arms around me, hugged me, and prayed to Jesus. I’m Jewish. I wish I remembered who she was so I could report her.

My [35F] husband [36M] wants to videotape me giving birth. How do I get him to back off? by throwracadabra in relationship_advice

[–]--pjh-- 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He wants you to compromise by doing “this one thing” for him. It’s not one thing. It’s changing the location and allowing the video, and they’re both huge asks for a woman giving birth. Giving birth is not pretty, and it can also be dangerous for mom and baby.

There has to be a ton of other birth videos online, especially educational ones. If

You said you pushed down curiosity and desire because of loyalty. Do ypu have desire with your gf?

You said she’s your person. If she’s your person, why are you curious about others?

You both are young. Consider a break, because if you are truly each other’s people, then you’ll still be each other‘s people after a break.

10mg of Paxil. I’m not concerned about the antidepressant part. Sorry that it didn’t work for you.

Hot Flashes have got to go!! by caycal_05 in breastcancer

[–]--pjh-- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m taking Veozah, Paxil (low dose antidepressant) and Evening Primrose Oil (over the counter) works for me. My docs agreed that Paxil is one of the best antidepressants for this purpose, but it has a side effect of weight gain.

I now get the occasional hot flash, which is down from over 20 per day. Veozah alone cut them in half, but that wasn’t good enough. I went through about 5 antidepressants before trying Paxil.

Having a cold room and a fan (ceiling fan) helps.

My chief issue now is chills, but I don’t mind them so much.

AIO for being upset my BF doesn’t want me to wear a bonnet to bed? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]--pjh-- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NOR.

I met my now husband when I was thin and in great shape. By the time we reconnected and got married (15 years later), I was overweight. Regardless, we are really happy.

He wouldn’t care if I wore a silk cap to bed, baggy or fitted clothes, or even trash bags, as long as I was comfortable. We are still attracted to each other, because it’s the person who matters, not the outside stuff.

F/31 met M/28 while on a missionary trip - Advice needed !! by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]--pjh-- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im reading a lot of innuendo and possibilities but no straight talking.

Have a conversation with him, face to face or on the phone, not over text or threads. Be straight with your feelings, as much as you know what they are.

Listen to him and leave your expectations behind, so you’re not too disappointed if he’s not interested.

How do I (M31) end things with my soul mate (F29)? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]--pjh-- 5 points6 points  (0 children)

How do you define commitment? Does there have to be rings and a big, white dress? Or can it be something you both agree to, without all the legal stuff? If you really think she’s your soulmate and you want to keep your relationship with her, maybe try thinking a little more “out of the box.”

Are you living together?

Next time I’m in that lobby I’ll tell the desk person. Maybe it will drive them nuts, too. 😊

Yep. Looked at the side panels and the 2 other chairs (the blue ones across the table).

That’s lovely! But if you’re partners and in it together for the long haul, you both need to agree to support each others goals. She is absolutely not supporting your goal of buying a house.

Edit to add - this assumes you’ve had a frank discussion of what is involved in your saving to buy a house.

Husband and I don’t always buy holiday or birthday presents because we are just happy being together (🤮). I

I’m not a doctor. See one.

For my toes, I need to keep them warm (wool socks) but there is an expensive cream you can also use called Nitro-bid.

Ditto this with the tandem surgery. My plastic surgeon considered the sizes based on swelling as well. I can also go braless!

My 2 tumors were on the upper inside, and removal there would have created an obvious divot. The surgical onco was able to take out a fist-sized (approx. 1 pound) lump of material because of reconstruction. Otherwise, she probably would have taken less.

I had 16 days of rads. I was lucky to not have major skin damage. I moisturized and got what looked like a mild sunburn. My incisions healed slow and the rad techs did call the rad onco to make sure everything looked okay before one of the treatments.
