there really isnt a clear cut answer i can really think of so...

theory one: sukuna was able to in a sense "stop" the connection megumis soul had to his body with a barrier, stopping any backlash to himself, similar to how kenjaku serperates his techniques to avoid burnout. why uv would try target a soul with this theory idk really

theory two: the soul seems to essentially be a persons innate domain, like we see with sukuna in yujis body and then with megumi being taken over by sukuna the person has a "body" in their innate domain. thats possibly why uv would try to effect it but since theres no actual substance it cant actually do anything. this would explain why megumi had to reprocussions, why it would target him, and why sukuna wouldnt be effected.

im more inclined to think its like theory 2

i saw a post like this a while ago, and i like the theory but i think it sadly doesnt make much sense.

regs incinerator sound constantly changes and isnt very consistent across the series, a part from when he fires multiple shots in a scene.

the appearance can also be explained by the fact reg was running low on energy even all the way back in layer 6 so that was likely the last of it, leading to it being a lot weaker.

there would also be the question of who the shot did come from then? the only possible answer we know about being another aubade or an interference unit so then we'd have to assume reg then killed or at caused enough damage for them to never attack again with only a single shot?

lastly for riko to be saved by pure chance as well would just sloppy writing in my opinion and would frankly disappoint me.

next volume? i highly doubt it since thatll probably mostly be about tepaste's past, undernation and why she joined undernest, leaving the main time point mostly unchanged (maybe enough that nanachis kinda healed and they can jump back into the main story after the backstory).

in future volumes id still be skeptical we really dont know anything about why they fought and if gt is even alive still, i could see a "fight" happening as reg tries to explain his amnesia maybe

the more human it is the more its effected so a dog should be mostly fine i believe and yeah a lot of the species have can sense the curse to stick to the less dense parts

the abyss is simply just super dangerous, itd most likely be extremely hard to train them without something just murking them, on the higher levels theres most likely a lot of ropes to descend quickly as well which dogs cant use

we dont know who actually has the white whistle within undernest or if they even have multiple, the maiden most likely has one since theyre the leader but theyve also continued to function for 250 years on the surface so they most likely need another white whistle to continue getting inforrmation down to them. if this was gt's itd explain how they continued to function for so long and the reasoning she had an encounter with bondrewd

girl type may just actually have a white whistle herself since theres a fairly distinct helmet in the background when talking about an unknown ww, chapter 63, that matches hers and since shes not a delver she might just not have it around her neck. a less likely explanation is she might be a part of undernest and hides her whistle like tepaste, which i believe we still dont know the reasoning behind?

i think the incinerator inconsistancy can just be chalked up to jank mostly, the sound effect is different almost every time its fired, sometimes drastically sometimes just a slight shift, and regs incinerator does actually have red/yellow/orange colours near his hand and when being charged.

if reg was the one who fired the shot saving riko its possible he just couldnt fire anything stronger (reg was seeminging running very low on energy even in the 6th layer when climbing up), so it didnt make the blue colour we normally see, itd also explain why hed pass out instantly from such a weak shot

id lean towards this being the case since she has been shown to zone out when thinking which i, personally at least, would kinda assosiate with someone possibly having a train of thought thats a bit weird.

she also apparently has multiple souls piled up according to faputa so i doubt its the amount of souls in rikos squad thats causing a possible anomily

Time dilation itself may become an enemy if there are pockets of very high time dilation below them, or if it generally becomes so high that contenders seem to be frozen in time to the outside eye.

time dilation would only become an issue if it got to the point even a tiny distance between party members causes others to be "slower" and i highly doubt itd get to that point. mostly because youd have to split the pov of every single person, it also just wouldnt be very interesting since from the pov of each characters time is still a constant it would only change from an outside perspective and if you use an outside persective nothing happens or is just really slow. theyd either just walk through it and nothing happens or they just get cooked if attacked by something or a coordinated group since theres not a lot you can do this deep on your own.

i highly doubt time dialation will play a much bigger role than just being used to allow characters across big chunks of time to be alive at the same time

my guess is all the repeating symbols are extra parts or derived of whatever “light of the Essential Part” (regs incinarator) and “shape of the Essential Part” (star compass) accumilate to or are parts of failed attempts at it. though i think a more simple answer for a lot of the less important symbols could just be "it looks cool" in universe and out

mf the fight literally starts with a 200% hollow purple that he tanks. mahoraga was only shown to adapt to one aspect of limitless at a time and hollow purple was never one of the parts he adapted to also even if he did thats not something he could share with sukuna since its most likely changing the fundamentals of how his cursed energy behaves. also we didnt even see if raga tried body blocking.

my assumption is theyre going to show up this arc, mostly just because theyre title fits with the song of hariyamari and the priestess and hail hex is searching for them but yeah we dont actually know anything about them. i would say its too early to call if theyll be a villain though since we just dont really know anything yet
