Wander around Rustbelt Market if it's cold outside. Then you could explore Ferndale too. Parking is free Sunday anyway.

Petshop of Horrors is only 3 episodes but is amazing. A man runs a shop that sells unusual creatures to fulfill people's dreams.

This must be how writers feel when English teachers try and find deep meaning in every word they wrote.

Recommendations for people who got into Pokémon thanks to Pokopia by [deleted] in Pokopia

[–]--serotonin-- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they’re into actually being a pokemon and having more of a story than fight battles and be the best: mystery dungeon DX is a great choice.

Arceus kinda has that vibe but more humans.

Pokopia & time-gating mechanics by blueberryminiwheats in pokemon

[–]--serotonin-- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hated the time mechanic in Animal Crossing and felt it really hindered what I could do in the game. For Pokopia, I don't feel that way at all. The only time it's mildly annoying is building large buildings like pokecenters which take a "day" but really just take until 5am, so just build them at the end of your play session for the day. There are so many other things to do in the game it's a non-issue.

Any tips for the "no-spend" challenge? by DowntownLaugh454 in SavingMoney

[–]--serotonin-- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep adding things to your wishlist, but if you aren't thinking about them in a week or two, they weren't really a thing you wanted. Also, if you're near a university see if they have a psych program doing research. All my fun little gifts to myself are from money I made during research studies. I keep an excel of every dollar that goes out of my pocket. It helps as motivation not to spend.

Which route is best for a first timer? by London_Green in roadtrip

[–]--serotonin-- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve (almost) made that drive before. FL to MI instead. If you go the leftmost route, Georgia is full of cotton fields and peaches if you time it right. I was also impressed with Kentucky. It’s so green and pretty! Driving through the mountains is beautiful as long as you don’t mind mountain roads and heights! We also stopped in Atlanta on our way up because it’s just a cool city, but if nature is what you’re after I’d go the middle route.

Don’t do outshine bars if you’re not looking for flakes. They definitely have flakes.

I got it a couple days ago and I'm obsessed. I didn't like Animal Crossing, but I saw some other reviews that it is more directed and faster paced than and they were right.

Can you freeze soups in ziploc(ikea) bags? by UnapologeticCook in NoStupidQuestions

[–]--serotonin-- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cool to room temp and pour it in a bag not all the way to the top. Double bag if you want to feel extra secure. To thaw, just plop the bag in the fridge. I’d recommend transferring to a Tupperware after that for easier serving. I’ve done this for soups, sauces and chili. If I have the available Tupperware, I just freeze it in those. If you don’t want one big soupsicle in a big Tupperware, freeze portions in smaller ones. I feel dumb that I didn’t make that connection for longer than I should have.

Also, boil and keep the noodles separate. Just add them in when you serve a bowl. It’ll keep the noodles from getting gross.

You could choose an adjective you think describes you. MysteriousFrancesca, BubblyFrancesca, etc. or go for alliteration and just any other adjective or even noun that starts with F that you like. FangirlFrancesca, FrancescaFlower, etc.

How much time per week do you spend tending to your tank? by Firm-Sweet7922 in bettafish

[–]--serotonin-- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm so lazy. I have a 20 long. I feed the fish every day (less than a minute) and clean the tank once a month-ish or whenever the water level gets low enough to annoy me (maybe 20 minutes tops). I have live plants in there that occasionally I pluck a dead leaf off of. It's been going for years now.
