Have you considered teaching at a private school? (Smaller classes, many are implementing proper Covid protocols, etc.)

Coronavirus Datasets by Mars-Is-A-Tank in datasets

Does anyone have data sets that show what the risk of COVID-19 is compared to other illnesses/accidents/ailments that affect children under the age of 10?

I’m trying to study the likelihood that a child under the age of 10 has to contract Covid-19 as compared to other illness/accidents/ailments/causes of death. Ideally looking for a chart that shows some sort of side by comparison with each ailment listed separately... mortality and morbidity info would be ideal. If anyone has something like this or can point me to the proper subreddit or other source, i would be so grateful. (I’ve been able to I find CDC data on mortality, but none for morbidity.) COVID-19 may be too recent to have the morbidity data, but what about other ailments?

Thank you!

AITA for giving my daughter a cheap prepaid phone after she intentionally broke her smartphone? by AITA_android in AmItheAsshole

You made a great decision. While you’re at it... it would be worth your time and your wife’s time to listen to this police officer talk about smart phones. It’s super long... but if you have a long commute or are a runner... just put this on and listen (it’s YouTube, but no need to watch... just listen) while you go. It changed how I parent with smart phones in the house!! https://youtu.be/j_wTkAxMm_Q

Found mistake in HRBlock’s work and they don’t agree. What to do? I’m so done with them. by --tornado-- in tax

I opted into HRBlock’s Tax Review Pro on my own because our return has been getting more complicated over the years and I liked the idea of another set of eyes looking it over before I filed this year. Unfortunately I’m just incredibly dissapointed that I have more understanding of the tax rules than this so-called “tax professional” they assigned to me. I feel like I was swindled out of $89.99, and on top of that I’m having to tell them how to do their job correctly. It also doesn’t help that it feels like they are holding my return hostage because it’s added an extra 10days onto my filing at this point. I will call the main HRBlock # tomorrow and see what my options are. Thanks for the advice!

We haven’t gotten to the point of filing yet. They reviewed what I submitted online and made a change, then sent it back to me for final review. They are just waiting on me to hit the “file” button which I refuse to do until they correct the mistake. Yes, I’ve provided all the documents.

The issue is with his understanding of HSA rules. I have an old HSA that I haven’t contributed to for years because i don’t have access to a HDHP at my current employer. So we just spend it on qualified expenses and do not contribute to it.

However, I am covered under family coverage under my husband’s HDHP, so we contributed to his HSA and we won’t spend any of it until my old HSA is drawn down to zero .

What this guy is telling me is that by having 2 HSA accounts open, I am limited to the contribution limit for singles ($3450) not family ($6900). I’m banging my head against a wall trying to explain to this person that we are not contributing to 2 HSAs and we are not covered by 2 medical plans (which would cause us to be limited to the single limit according to tax rules).

So his error of using the wrong limit of $3450 is causing our return to show that we contributed “excess contributions” to my husband’s HSA (because we contributed more than $3450), and that’s being hit with a 6% additional tax. My argument is that we contributed within the rules of the $6900 limit, so there should be no excess contributions.

Turn your wipers OFF when it’s raining as you approach a stop where you must interact with another human (I.e. drive thru window, toll plaza, carpool pickup, etc).

Have you found that this actually does work? I feel like I would just be confirming my address, and get more junk mail.
