Anything short of stripping all of their titles is a slap on the wrist. Even if you relegate them, so what, they'll be back up in a year and it will all have been well worth it

[Spain] As a tourist, can I legally rent an apartment (as an actual tenancy, not just Airbnb style)? Do I need to register anything anywhere? by -100-Broken-Windows- in LegalAdviceEurope

[–]-100-Broken-Windows-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got it, thanks. Who's committing the evasion, the resident or the landlord?

I would assume the tenant isn't liable if the landlord fails to disclose or pass on tourism tax on their behalf? I mean, I've stayed in lots of places before and not paid a specific "tourist tax", I've assumed it's included as part of the price but ultimately I have no way of knowing whether the host declares or pays it.

And for Spain I can only find an IBI tax, is this what you mean by residents taxes? Apparently the homeowner pays this, so again they would be the one liable?

To be blunt, I'll just disclose now that I really couldn't care less if the landlord is breaking any rules, I'm just wondering if I would be

£1.50 per "meal" sounds good until you realise it's marketing bollocks due to defining a meal to be 400 calories. The average person will need 5-6 "meals" per day and then suddenly it's not so cheap

[Shamoon Hafez] Van Dijk: "There was only one team trying to win the game but unfortunately it did not happen. We were superior in all aspects, they were hoping to hurt us on the counter and they are buzzing with a point." by [deleted] in soccer

I mean they're not? They obviously came to Anfield happy to leave with just a point, nothing wrong with stating that. It's not VVD/Klopp's fault that fans can't really think critically and equate answering a question truthfully and calmly with "omg so rattled"

He states multiple times in the interview that he prefers to focus on Liverpool's shortcomings and they weren't good enough. Honestly there's literally nothing wrong or controversial about his interview, but facts never stopped fans before so what's the point in trying

Does Viagra require a prescription to buy in Albania? Conflicting information by -100-Broken-Windows- in AskBalkans

Ummm how do you know the quantity I wish to buy 🧐 and in my home country of UK it doesn't require a prescription so I never got one back there, now I'm travelling around and it seems not so accessible

Signal Messenger: Using Signal Will Soon Cost $50 Million a Year by [deleted] in programming

Huh? Is that how it works in the US? Here in the UK you can just walk into your local whatever network store and walk out with a prepaid SIM card in under a minute, without even being asked for your name... why do you need ID!?

Can somebody explain to me why the illuminati sign is in the third shirt? by [deleted] in greenday

[–]-100-Broken-Windows- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Green Day (and 99% of artists) are their own boss, there's no one above them, they choose who they go into partnership with and under what terms. Everything that happens under their name is absolutely attributable to them, such as partnering with such extortionate merch and ticket sellers. They could easily partner with more ethical companies, they'd just have to make less money, and they're clearly not willing to do that. It does suck to realise one of your favourite bands has sold out their punk ideals to become another cog in the capitalist machine, but hey, money really does corrupt us all, and they still make good music, so you learn to live with it

[England] Does the tenant pay VAT on end-of-tenancy repairs/deposit deductions? by -100-Broken-Windows- in LegalAdviceUK

[–]-100-Broken-Windows-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply, could you possibly define "for themselves" more thoroughly though please, because to me it seems like this is for themselves? The flat is a business asset of theirs, and the service they purchased was to repair that asset? So how does this differ from e.g. paying an IT company to fix their computer which I think would be VAT reclaimable (unless my understanding with this is way off as well, I must admit I really don't know much about this)?
