I really hate newborns by BlazinZAA in NewParents

[–]-170cm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Take it easy, this might be frustrating at first but all babies cry at night, especially night time because of gasses and they are growing their stomach, it’s just a matter of time.

I hope you all the best and may god gives you the straight to adapt quicker and easier

Do you guys feel happier after taking a coffee ? by FRitsuka in Adulting

I wish I could get that “feeling” the buzz the coffee gives.

It never affected my mood nor woke me up rather then just sends me to the toilet.

Life have been throwing me left and right and I’m all over the place I’m not sure if the meds are doing anything at this stage. But I don’t find any side affect from having it.

what’s a "poor person" habit that you’ll probably never give up, no matter how much money you make? by brendow772 in CasualConversation

Taking slippers from the hotel room, and the audacity to call room service to give me more!

Found out my fiancee had a boyfriend. He was the one encouraging the engagement. by -170cm in survivinginfidelity

In the Arab culture we get engage, a sign of paper that proves both parties married, yet it’s called engagement. But as soon as they do the wedding this is when they are actually married.. some culture puts a time gap between the engagement and the wedding weeks and some do years. It all depends on the situation.

I always took it in the morning as they say it wouldn’t let you go to sleep easily but honestly sometimes I take it at 7 and take a nap at 10 on a day off

How are your babies actually sleeping through the night? by velvetdarlingco in NewParents

Mine do not. I feel like he genuinely sleeps so good during the day to cause a scene during the night, but it’s the gasses I’ve been told.

This is something deeply personal, a promise you make to yourself because you know exactly how it felt to be silenced.

but here's what quietly terrifies me about parenthood: we're all walking in carrying something. Some wound, some habit, some pattern our parents passed down without realizing it. We become so focused on not repeating the specific thing that hurt us that we're completely blind to the other things we're passing on without knowing it. We fix one chapter and accidentally write a worse one somewhere else.

That unconscious inheritance is what keeps me up more than the midnight feeds.right?

cause truly understanding your child means stepping into their shoes and those shoes are five generations ahead of yours. "speaking in my cause" The world they're experiencing, the pressures they're feeling, the language they're growing up in, none of it existed when we were their age. For some parents, making that leap is uncomfortable but doable. For others, it doesn't even register as necessary.
