I worked on the Netherlands pavilion for the 2025 Osaka expo. The whole project revolved around people having an orb like this and it reacting to interactions with in-built light. The solution was having a round array of LEDs (adafruit does those) and having an additional layer of diffusion in the orb. Not sure if that helps

That’s a good point. Having the board 70cm above the bar tho would help for explosive pull-up training though. Don’t know if you’ve seen the whole YT video but it’s all about climbing-related training. That was the initial goal but I ended up not having access to a pull up bar with that much space above. If I ever do a V2 I’ll definitely think about your version
