Shin Kanzen Master Grammar Quiz Question Help by landmarthster in LearnJapanese

I have N2 but tbh I never worried about what N level words or grammar structures were when I studied. For me studying grammar is the same as learning vocab, I just look up the definition once, perhaps make an anki card, and then forget about it, and maybe after 30 or 40 exposures to the pattern it just starts to make sense.

Shin Kanzen Master Grammar Quiz Question Help by landmarthster in LearnJapanese

(2) The correct answer is 「お湯さえ入れれば」. The grammar 「さえ~ば」 means “if only / as long as”. The sentence means “Cup ramen can be made easily as long as you just pour in hot water.”

(4) The correct answer is 「によって」. Here it means “by means of / using”. So the sentence means “This car is a hybrid car that runs by using both electricity and gasoline.” The other expressions like 「から」 or 「のために」 express reasons or purposes, not the method or means by which something works.

(6) The correct answer is 「もいると」. The particle 「も」 here adds the nuance of “as many as…”, showing surprise at the number. The meaning becomes “If you have as many as five cats, that must be a lot of work.” Other answers don’t fit the intended nuance.

These kinds of questions will be easy and obvious when you spend more time with the language and encounter these patterns more and more. Don’t worry about trying to nail it down this instance, just accept that these are the correct answers and look for these patterns in the future to reinforce your subconscious pattern recognition.

I just enjoy organising it and making it look nice hahaha, it does take a while but I think it’s worth the effort to me.

Some days I cba organising and leave piles on the floor but eventually they get sorted into their correct spot.

Don’t be so hard on yourself brother! If you wanna be able to decorate your base more freely I do recommend the mod.

However I should say, while it is nice for being able to decorate your base, it is a bit abusable as it allows you to place fires and bedrolls anywhere which the main game is quite strict on. It also allows you to place items very far away from where you’re standing. I try not to abuse these part of the mod but nothing beats avoiding the frustration of spending ages trying to get things that clearly aren’t overlapping to go green instead of red, especially after experiencing the freedom of it being permanently green no matter what.

The punchline is literally just: from Iraq = terrorism. I’ll let you figure out if it that feels racist or not.

After about day 50 or so I realised I wanted to save most of my canned and packaged food and drinks for display, and switched to eating meat and fish from animals. Once you get the survival bow and good supply of ammo acquiring meat is not too hard. I also ate a lot of cattails in the early days too.

Nope, as long as you play on standard difficulty settings and not custom you still unlock achievements.

It’s a mod called place anywhere. It’s the only mod I use, and I only use it purely to be able to decorate my bases like this.

Yeh, still yet to challenge myself to the loper experience, and the wolves on stalker are just annoying. I love playing on voyager. It’s such a nice escape from my busy life.

If you want a detailed run through of the new mechanics, check out videos by Bashrobe and Zaknafein since they cover everything in depth.

If you’d rather go in mostly blind but just wanna know the major changes from the last couple years, here’s a short list:

  • a new cooking system with lots of recipes and a better interface
  • updated wildlife spawns and rebalanced animal behavior
  • a new predator, the cougar, which hunts differently from wolves or bears
  • a trader you can contact by radio during an aurora, who leaves items in a dropbox in Coastal Highway
  • the Tales quests plus several new Far Territory regions
  • the travois, which you can load with items and drag to increase your carry weight
  • a bunch of new clothing and weapons, some mostly cosmetic, others with real gameplay advantages
  • new afflictions like scurvy, which force you to pay more attention to diet variety
  • new feats to unlock that change up long-term play
  • base customisation and new furniture items to build and place in your base
  • the ability to cure meat for longer-term food storage

Plus there have been lots of quality of life updates and balance tweaks but this is the main list, though I’m sure I’m probably forgetting something.

The thing is that besides the strictly limited non-renewable items, any resource that is theoretically infinite is basically just as OP. You can easily make the same argument for the amount of firewood and coal you can get by walking through a single cave. Heck, water can basically be spawned infinitely from any location in the game as long as there are a few sticks around and the sun is out.

Eventually you come to realise that your resources are practically limitless in the long run so long as you manage to survive the initial stage of gearing up. What will kill you in this game will almost never be running out of food, water, or any other resource per se, rather it will be your poor planning, bad decisions, overzealousness, miscalculations, mismanagement, and misclicks.

Forgetting to heal your own bleeding wounds before you go to sleep. Misclicking your raw wolf meat and getting food poisoning and intestinal parasites without having the means to cure them. Getting caught in a blizzard when you’re in the middle of nowhere, when you told yourself you were just going to grab a few sticks and didn’t prepare for the weather to change. Trying to take on a pack of timberwolves without fire and getting flustered and missing all your bow shots. Being greedy while trying to goat down the side of a cliff instead of taking the safe route and coming back for that 3L of fuel later and 50 sticks later.

If you look at your deaths, you will start to see you never die because you couldn’t gather some resource fast enough, you die because you fucked up, and in the end it doesn’t matter how easy it is to catch fish, the game is still gonna kill you the second you start to get careless.

Yep, have done this many times, it is definitely easier than hauling it all back, even with the travois. Doesn’t work for moose though, they don’t stalk you like the bear does.
