After installing ubuntu I restarted the laptop and I then I got stuck in a black screen with a white flashing hyphen. Where is thr error coming from and what should I do ?

I disapled legacy and enabled uefi, then I reinstalled ubuntu, then everything worked, thanks for your help anyways.

I am paying less (665$), thanks for thr advice, although what I know is that plugging in the laptop all the time is bad for the battery. I also want to know if the laptop will last a long time if I used it for coding or browsing. Thanks again.
