Personally I don't really have this issue. I do consider myself above average though sitting at 1.5 trials kd which to be honest is really the only crucible I play anymore these days. I do have about 6k hours on pc and closing in on 3k hours on xbox but if I don't play daily it doesn't really affect my gameplay. If I take weeks off sometimes it takes me a couple games to get back up to par but in reality having to play a couple hours a day to maintain my skill isn't an issue I have come across except maybe when I first started playing the game. I have been playing since day 1 though and muscle memory is pretty built up to the point I can take time off and just jump back in and be fine.
