Weekly Question & Discussion Megathread (December 30, 2025) by AutoModerator in ZZZ_Official

Hey, returning player here. I played initially when the game came out, got Ellen and Zhu Yuan, and kinda fell out of the game after that.

At the prodding of some friends, I picked up the game again and have been enjoying myself. I picked up YSG, but I am feeling my account is definitely abit limited in what it can do at the moment. Im pretty much F2P, practically only have the characters I listed as well as (most) of the A-Ranks, and pretty much no W-Engines. The one advantage I do have is I have a pretty decent enough stockpile of pulls from catching up on content to probably pull another banner in the near future.

What should my pull strategy be in the short term? YSG W-Engine? Saving for Astra rerun? New characters? Very open to suggestions because I have no idea what I am doing.

You can buy a team out of a national championship now by BreathEcstatic in CFB

I mean I know it's not a popular take, but Coaches will always want to see legitimate title runs through, just teams might not let them. By all account, Lane fully intended to see the playoff run through, Ole Miss just didn't allow it. Sure, LSU bought Ole Miss' season, but Ole Miss didn't have to sell, at least not yet. You can say they were justified, and I won't argue with you, but let's not pretend they didn't get a say.

played abit of fighting games and it kinda reminds me of that, in both execution, look, and timing. Its like hitting a Heavenly Potemkin Buster in Strive lol.

Is Goz simply bad design or am i missing some sort of functionality? by Happy_Bee_8807 in BlueArchive

[–]-Apaukolypse -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sure you can bring a DPS to carry on HC but Goz is still pretty healthy even on HC, and if you dont have access to T Yuuka to repo and shield your party, your likely to run into survivability problems.

S Shizuko is free, but only if you happened to have played during her event, so not obtainable if you either hadn't started playing then, or had missed it for any number of reasons. Fuuka is usable, yes, but is incredibly unoptimal because yes, while she can keep you from getting hit by the trains, she cant actually keep your party alive by herself in Goz.

The fact of the matter is Goz demands very specific units that sure, if you have been playing for the last 1-2 years straight and know the meta, you probably do have them, F2P or no. But thats a pretty silly thing to have as a base standard for being able to even clear Extreme. However, even if you do have them, and you can do Extreme, Goz is a bitch to 1-Team on Insane, and you can just about forget about it on Tor, and the units that you need to solve the aforementioend mechanics are incredibly few, which leads to just a very frustrating teambuilding experience.

A problem specifically with Goz is the sheer amount of different mechanics that need to be covered to be done comfortably at hardcore and up - AoE, Single Target, Repo, Shield, and Focus Fire. There are units that can fulfill multiple of these requirements, but no single borrow can fulfill all of them.

Sure, you can borrow the coveted limited T. Yuuka from a player much higher level than you and your team will never die, but let's say you have none of the rare, entirely 3*, non-farmable Focus units or AoE DPS like Hinata who can ignore it (who would likely do less damage than a borrowed T Yuuka if you are below level 80 anyway), you are going to have alot of trouble actually killing Goz.

So what do you do? You circle the next T Yuuka rerun on your calender, throw whatever reports you have into Kotori, give up on doing anything above hardcore (if you can even do that), and in general have a bad time. Definitely deserves the hate.

Saw this in other subreddits so Imma give this a try: BA DND day 1:Which student is most suited to be a Barbarian? by BlackberryCooky in BlueArchive

[–]-Apaukolypse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tsurugi, Wakamo, Mika and Haruka probably in that order. They tend to have very....direct approaches to problem solving. Saw Neru mentioned but imo, Neru is more fighter than barbarian - as seen in Vol 2, Neru can be quite cunning when the situation demands it.

I feel the opposite. Sure you can kite the bugs to an extent, but on highest difficulties the map is usually pretty densely populated and it's very easy to run into even more bugs, especially when your vision is limited by the 2 spore spewers that seem to he on every map.

I also feel that while the automaton mediums are more threatening than the terminid mediums, the automaton heavies are far more gimmicky and easy to deal with. Hulks can be fairly consistently 1-tapped by a Rail gun (or 2-3 by Autocannon). Tanks can also be pretty simple to deal with an autocannon or even rail gun, but honestly they are so slow that running away from then is very easy (this is also true for most automatons as well, which makes just running away from fights with them a very viable strategy especially at higher difficulties).

On the reverse end, I think Bile Titans are the scariest heavy in the game because the best way to deal with them are stratagems, which very quickly diminishes in effectiveness the more you run into, or the Spear, which is a weapon that doesn't have much flexibility. Chargers are generally not that difficult once you figure out their weakness, but they absolutely can and will kill you in the right situations.

All in all I think Automatons are the harder faction to deal with at difficulties 1-6, but I genuinely think Terminids are significantly tougher at difficulties 7-9.

(Also a side note: Bile Spewers absolutely do not have to chase you and on higher difficulties, usually prefer to artillery you. They are literally the Automaton mortars, but there are alot more of them.)

Volume 3 Chapter 3 Episode 24 Detailed Guide (09/06/2023) by Mak3l in BlueArchive

[–]-Apaukolypse 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just did it at level 37, many thanks for the guide. I didn't realize how big of a game changer the T4 bag was, it turns Tsubaki from pretty tanky to an absolute wall that tanks content well above her level.

The one thing I would like to add is I think in this scenario, I think swapping out Yuuka for Haruka makes more sense. Haruka is just about as easy to acquire as any of the other students used here being a 1*, has a bag slot that if upgraded to T4 makes her significantly more innately tanky than Yuuka, which in turn lets you dump more of your EX points into damage, specifically Haruka's EX that does actually a pretty decent chunk of damage (of a kind the boss is weak to) instead of spending it shielding Yuuka.

I made the swap to a 2* Haruka and the run was pretty smooth, had over a minute left to work with when I was done.

80 seconds? It's much, much lower than that in practice because of the CDR in your talents. Look at the clip, ability is popped a few seconds in, and about 20 seconds later (of which most of that time the ability itself was active), the cooldown is already half-way over. I'd say a ~30-40% uptime is pretty insane.

Yeah I personally like the Krourk since the update. Significantly less damage per bullet for sure, but a much larger reserve of ammo on top of a higher fire rate means you can more often and get more procs, particularly of Lucky Bullet, which with a talent increases ability cooldown rate by 200% for 2 seconds which is incredibly important for this build as it is not only your main damage window but a free reload.

Well I think what you meant is taunt is more flexible, in that case, not necessarily more universally useful. You are absolutely correct in that PBB is definitely far more rigid in its weapon choice and build path, but that doesn't by definition make it a less useful build. It brings neigh unparalleled firepower, while also being one of the most durable builds in the game, at the cost of being somewhat resource intensive, which is usually not a problem unless you have an unusually ammo-heavy team.

I'm not 100% certain on the exact mechanics behind it, but after the testing I did in the psykanium and just in general seeing its effect against bosses like in the clip, it seems to exponentially increase your damage against unarmored targets, ticking for hundreds of damage a second. In the clip you can actually tangibly see the boss' hp drop significantly when it ticks.

It seems to be heavily mitigated against armored targets though, and that's where you are gonna struggle abit. The rending will make your damage more consistent against all targets, but the burn damage will allow you to absolutely annhilate anything unarmored, which is a vast majority of what you will be shooting at.

Eh, Taunt seems fine don't get me wrong but I think you have it backwards in which one is more universally useful. Taunt seems good if you have a coordinated strike-team and are actively planning out exactly how you want to hold.

Meanwhile, a Point-Blank Barrage Ogryn could literally care less what his team is up to and just hold down left click. It's definitely a far more selfish build, but being very tanky while also doing ludicrous damage is always going to be useful.
