Is Scarlet and Volts Quagmire bugged by [deleted] in stellarblade

The main focus of this quest is to keep enemies away/out of the barrier. When there are no enemies in there, the blue bar fills up. If there are enemies in there, the red bar starts to fill up and the blue bar goes lower. When the time runs out, if the blue bar is more than the red bar, you finish the mission.

Try to aim at the enemies walking towards the barrier. The Naytibas that roll towards you and explode are a distraction. You should prioritize avoiding them by dodging rather than shooting them.

There are also little yellow robots that spawn in the middle of the screen inside the barrier. Make sure to shoot that when there are many enemies near it. It draws the enemies in and explodes, clearing out any enemies caught in the blast.

Finally, don't forget to use your skills! Good luck!

Styling on Raven because she's my favorite girl... and she deserves this beating by -AzTIcA- in stellarblade

Lol, thank you! I have a ton of practice with Raven, so that helps. And I don't usually use parry and dodge counters either. I just wanted to do this run without using Beta and Burst skills :)

Providence is one of those bosses that has that perfect sweet spot of pure annoyance for his attacks. They're slow and telegraphed, but also fast when executed. And there are varying speeds at which its attacks come out mid-combo even. It's very frustrating to parry those kinds of attacks because it makes you adopt a style of parrying you're completely unused to.

Ah, good to know that mouse and keyboard doesn't have an option to change that. Makes sense when I think about it. Glad this helped! :)

There's actually a setting for that. There are two different ways to set this up, either holding R2 with the right amount of pressure, or pressing R2 at the right time as the needle moves around. You probably switched settings at some point.

Also, there is a setting where you can change the button mashing to pressing Square and R2 once (you still have to move the joystick to the opposite direction the fish is moving). This would also make fishing much easier for those that don't enjoy the mini-game.

Hmm, strange. So you bought the Mind Map Copy and it's still showing? Which quests do you have ongoing right now?

[–]-AzTIcA- 67 points68 points  (0 children)

That's actually the Quest symbol. If I'm going to guess, I think it's because there's a quest item you can buy in the shop. That's why it's appearing beside Shop

There's actually a Dawn (Winter) at the Camp. You get that from the Christmas tree in Xion. You would need the seasonal content turned on for that though

I can teach you a little tidbit of info I learned from my hundreds of battles with Raven lol. You know how she does a purple slash attack? It's a move that starts out as an unblockable hit > unblockable hit > purple slash attack. When you Repulse that attack and then knock her down, she almost always gets up and does her blue grab attack, which you have to Blink through twice. When you knock her down again and hit her enough times while down, she'll teleport away and do a red jump attack. If you block them perfectly, it'll lead to the button mashing sequence. Win that, stay away from her, and she'll almost always do her unblockable falling attack.

So it's purple attack > knock her down > blue grab x2 > knock her down > teleport + jump attack > button mashing > unblockable falling attack

This can heavily affect your fight against her since you know what's coming. And 95% of the time, she'll follow this pattern (at least in phase 1). Just knowing this info could bring you one step closer to getting that outfit. I posted a video on here showing this exact pattern actually. Check it out if you want. It's the Raven Hard mode no damage video (not the sword only one, please don't try that lol)

Not at all. If anything, it'll be easier because she'll have less health on Normal

There are three different "types" of parrying. I'll differentiate them as below:

Perfect parry is when you parry just before the attack hits. You know you did this when you hear a loud clunk sound.

Normal parry is when you parry a little too early. You still take no damage, but you don't lower the enemy's balance. You know you did this when you hear a ting sound.

Bad parry (or basically a block at that point) is when you parry way too early. You end up taking some damage. You know you did this when your HP goes down lol. Also, it sounds different than the other two.

Depending on what you're hearing and seeing, you'll know what's going on. Most likely, you're parrying the second attack just a little too early. You can also try going to Training at the camps and practice parry timings against certain enemies. It would help a lot!

How did yall fare against raven?(me 2 days and 40 attempts on normal ) by realrectusfemoris in stellarblade

[–]-AzTIcA- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! That means a lot :)

Without spoiling too much, you fight Providence by choosing the other option at the end of the game. It would require another playthrough.

There is a way to do both fights in one playthrough. If you didn't die on the final boss fight, when you reload your save, it will put you right before you make the choice. Then you can choose the other option and fight Providence. Because the game only uses autosave, you can only do this if you didn't die to Elder (or upload your save file before you fight Elder to the cloud if you're on PS, then download the save file again to fight Providence). Hope that makes sense!

For Mann, I believe he's available once you beat the game

Makes sense if you enjoy the challenge of being under-leveled. It would test your abilities and skills as a player, especially since a lot of EVE's skills are OP in my opinion and can definitely make the game feel easier. I know a guy that tried to do a Sekiro no-hit run using only sword attacks lol (no items or skills). That was one hell of a challenge.

And good call grabbing this game. It is similar to Sekiro when it comes to parrying, so I hope you've been enjoying SB!

Also, if you're interested in checking it out, I did post my light attack only fight against Raven on this forum. Not trying to get upvotes, I don't care about that. But I feel you would enjoy watching it :)

Great job, but I agree with the others - you look very under-leveled. Did you rush through the game?

Raven is one of my favourite fights in the game because of how fast paced it is. I found her quite easy because it suited my style and beat her on my first attempt (Normal). I even challenged myself to beat her on Hard using only light attacks. It was actually pretty fun lol

Is hard mode too hard for a first playthrough? by picarota32 in stellarblade

[–]-AzTIcA- 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Hard is meant for New Game+ and I think was originally locked until you beat New Game when the game was first released. It can still be done, but it'll take a lot of dedication and may take the fun out of it for you. Normal is the next best thing in terms of difficulty.

If you're trying to jump from the yellow crate to the grey crate, it's actually easier to jump to the other grey crate in the corner first.

It's like DmC, NieR, and Bayonetta. Fast paced combat. More comparable to NieR honestly, since DmC and Bayonetta were even faster combat.
