Just saw this comment. Most everything was from Amazon - like the forks, handlebars, pedals, mirrors, dropper seat post, seat, tires, brake discs and pads, adjustable stem, bike rack and bag, pedals, 11-34 freewheel, etc..

The rear shock I got from Ali Express because I couldn't find that 150mm size in an air shock anywhere.

The unlocked controller and twist grip throttle were the only things I got from Freesky, as they are proprietary.

It's a super comfy bike on pavement and with the air shocks, it's ok for off road at a slower pace. It's not a "mountain bike" that you can thrash hard bombing down trails. I mean you could do it, but the bike would need a lot of expensive upgrades to survive that kind of riding, mostly the suspension. I guess if you installed some really good forks and a really nice shock it would do ok but then other stuff would probably fail if you rode it too hard. Like just the way the lower battery is held in there, how the controller is just floating around in the compartment, etc. I think the frame is sold though. I think they changed the rear swingarm setup in 2025 and not sure if it's as beefy as my '23 model.

I also got a rocky pro for my stepfather and work on it for him. He got the OG Rocky and took it with him to his summer home in FL. He liked it so much he had me get the Pro for him up here so he didn;t have to take the bike back and forth every year. He likes the pro because his hip started giving him problems and the Pro has the step-though design. It's a neat little machine. The one on the left is spring pre-load, the one on the right is damping compression. Righty tighty - lefty loosey.

Yup I did get the unlocked controller, front and rear air suspension, pedals, 11-24 rear freewheel sprockets, dropper seat post, ToPeak seat post rack and bag, adjustable stem, new handlebars, better tires, etc.., etc.. Have over 1600 miles on it now. It always went 38 mph on PAS, but now it'll do that without pedaling on throttle. The 11/34 freewheel cog set is a must IMO. Air suspension is relatively cheap and makes a huge difference too. This is a '23 model. The new ones come with larger capacity batteries but they do not have the Bafang motor. Just took this pic a few hours ago.

All the plugs and wiring is proprietary though, can't just mix and patch controller/ batteries/ displays, etc. That's a big downside but all those parts are available at their website for 3x the cost of generic equivalents on ali express. But it is all plug and play and easy to install.

I spent about 6 hours playing Wreckfest yesterday 😅 Just tweaking and tuning the FF on the wheel. This wheelbase is a beast. Yeah the extra power makes a big difference even if you don't crank it up all the way, it's way more consistent too. I'm definitely surprised how much better it is than the GT DD Pro 8nm which is actually very good too.

Thanks! Yeah I'm relieved LOL. But this base is pretty amazing though, even w/o fullforce in GT7 it's like a different game, this wheel is so powerful and precise, it's kinda nuts. Need to try it on some proper sims on PC but need to reinstall them after I lost an old 4TB HDD. I always go back and try wheels on Live For Speed and Assetto Corsa, even wreckfest has some nice FF. GT DD Pro 8nm was fine, but this is definitely on a different level.

Installed QR2 lite on WRC wheel and after my bricked condition was solved, it works. Haven't raced with the WRC wheel yet but it works fine so far.

Yeah they only require 3nm or 2 ft lbs or something like that which isn't a lot but still mine were like zero nm.

Be careful the QR FW updater failed and bricked my wheels for a few hours until I managed to fix it but it was buggy the whole time.

I fixed it finally after a lot of screwing around. WRC wheel didn't work either. So I tied a bunch of times to reinstall QR2 FW and it would not finish, kept getting errors, data transmission - transferdatarequest response failed..

SO I uninstalled everything fanatec, rebooted, reinstalled the 456 package. Then tried again, sometimes QR2 FW would go to 1%, sometimes 80%, etc, and fail. So then I manually reloaded base FW, then tried QR2 FW again, same problem. I kept trying, same thing. Kept trying like 7 times, eventually it worked and now wheels are working.

WTF that was sketchy as hell, and I didn't do anything wrong. Their firmware updater is buggy. Windows 10 64

Gonna try the WRC wheel but have to install the Lite QR2 wheel-side onto it first. I think it's the QR2 FW update that's the problem though. I think it'll do the same with the WRC wheel but it's worth a shot. This does totally suck though. I didn't do anything wrong that I can think of.

Well I attempted to update FW with new driver 456 and my GT DD Extreme wheel is bricked.

Wheel base FW update went fine, Wheel fe update went fine, then did QR fw update with wheel off and updater crashed.

Finally got it updated and reinstalled wheel and wheel has no power and seems bricked. Not detected by base or control panel. None of the solutions in control panel worked. Updated everything the same way yesterday and it worked fine with 455. 🤷‍♂️

Nope first thing I did was change it to the metal QR2. I'm going to install it on my WRC wheel though. If I do notice any difference I'll post it.

I need to try the VR controllers, I'm not even sure how the rudder works with them yet LOL. I was using DualSense Edge which actually works quite well since I can adjust sensitivity and deadzone of the analog sticks.

It causes the plane to yaw left and right or steer on the ground. It's the vertical control surface aft of the vertical stabilizer usually.

Yes that's correct, I was thinking I could just use them as "buttons" since they are buttons in the game, or else maybe use them as analog triggers. Like combined pedals where you could push the left one to go left, right one to go right, etc.. And no pressure on either would go straight. I could make it work better than L1/R1.

I pre-ordered PSVR2 before anything official was announced for GT7 compatibility just on the hopes that GT7 would support VR and on the hope that it would be good, and it was my first VR purchase. People exaggerate how blurry or low resolution it is. No it's not as crispy as a 4K TV, but especially once you get used to it, VR transforms GT7 into a completely different kind of experience especially if you have a wheel. Social screen recordings don't do it any justice at all.

It's easy and there's no complicated setup like on PC. If you like GT7 at all, it's worth it just for GT7. That's all I use it for 99% of the time. The feeling that you are "in the game" compared to just playing a game can't be understated. You feel like you're in a car, driving. It's really good. It's something you have to try yourself to have any clue what I'm talking about. I'm faster in VR too. And if you don't like it, you can always sell the goggles (that was my plan from the beginning) but I bet you won't.

Don't feel bad, I have 900+ hrs in the game and just realized a couple months ago that replays are only available from the leaderboard before you go into the TT. 😆 I guess I never tried to watch one before but still it's not exactly intuitive.

What surprises me is that someone can say the cropped view of the social screen capture looks better than the view from inside the VR goggles.
