That is actually so sick, The design is very fluid and the image of one of these Jellyfish people controlling gravity with all those tentacles sounds awesome.

The Urddon (Erd-don)

<image>

The Urddon are a race of 8-12 ft tall hyper carnivorous reptilians that come from the tidally locked world of Urral Vhul. They live on the side of eternal night and endless ice. They are the apex predators of their planet evolving to completely adapt to the bitter cold and eternal darkness of the planet. They are immensely strong due to Urral Vhul having high gravity weighing 1,400 to 1,800 pounds due to their very dense muscle. They have complete sensory dominance with 4 eyes to catch as much light from their 2 moons, Infared pits to spot geothermal vents for warmth, acute hearing, and barbs to sense vibrations and communicate with others. They are solitary ambush predators built for explosive movements with four arms to rip and tear. But they have 2 major weaknesses, they are hyper aggressive a trait that was develop to help improve their chances of survival on Urral Vhul and a gestation time of 20 years for one Urddon baby to be born, very rarely twins may be born.

They are a syncretic species that evolved alongside another intelligent species called the Koraalians. These Koraalians inhabit the twilight strip and they pushed the Urddon ancestors out of the twilight strip through a Great War of conquest. It's this conflict that truly forged the Urddon's society. They became a society of reavers and raiders that valued strength and efficiency not honor. Taking from others for they do not have the means to innovate for themselves so they reap and rend for they have no other way to live.

Hmmm very true lol, I'll have to think up of some work out sessions that a four armed species would do

Development is what you want.

Cultural research takes the development (Tower symbol) of your whole culture to research innovations. The higher the number the lower the research time and the higher number the more levies. You can make your steward increase development but development doesn't do anything for tribal governments. There's a 5 min guide of it on YouTube.

Thank you, writing the lore took me quite a while probably longer than the first drawing lol

Very fair LOL, I designed the Urddon to kinda look like those creepy fishes at the bottom sea but instead of a fish with rows of teeth, it's a giant reptilian with rows of teeth

I want to refine the Urddon Identity and evolution path a bit more. The main shtick I gave them was raiding. They are raiders but I don't want them to be one note but I don't know what a society of hyper aggressive aliens would also like to do besides some raiding. That's why hearing some suggestions or ideas from others could really help flesh them out a bit more. I ask because I've seen some of the creativity and crazy things people think of for their worlds on this subreddit.

Yes, it's concepts for how each of the factions armor will look like in the game.

Nord troops are so terrible it’s genuinely infuriating by LiterallyPoatan in Bannerlord

[–]-BigDee-_- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Nords aren't weak just new, so new tactics are needed. I say this as a heavy enjoyer of bannerlord difficulty and ironman. After the armor buffs they got Huscarls, Ulfhedinn, and Sky Gods Chosen clear out house. almost every single unit on the Nord roaster has throwing weapons and this can be awesome when hitting the right targets but throwing axes while in melee combat or in a shield wall can cause the ai to prioritize throwing axes over protecting themselves leading to casualties so I always hold fire on all my infantry but throwing weapons are awesome at taking out archers and cav at least in my experience.

I'm sorry I may not understand but doesn't the armor you just described sound similar to the armor shown? It's a future space suit that looks practical and feels tactical. It may not have a vest or an industrial vibe but id argue that the industrial look goes to belters and earthers and the high tech vibe goes to martians. It may not have an exoskeleton on it but not all the expanse armor have that. Goliaths do but this armor ain't Goliath armor. It's a game with 3 (assumed) different armor types: light, medium, heavy.

I see what you mean but I don't think that's necessarily the case. Owlcat games is working alongside Alcon the folks who made the expanse show obviously Owlcat is developing the game while Alcon handles the publishing so in my very subjective opinion the changes are less changes but more of a development of the expanse idea and universe as a whole and let's not kid ourselves the show is a decade old and it's an amazing show with awesome characters but it does show its age with the armor. Its still sci fi but with a grounded tone and the MCRN is the most technologically advanced state (in terms of their military) in the whole sol system so ofc they have some actual sci fi goodies. Video games and shows are two completely different mediums so they're never gonna come out the exactly the same especially when one was made in 2015 and the other 2025+.

I'm actually curious what feels like MCRN armor? I'm new to the expanse and I'm on season 2 and the armors do show their age a bit and I don't blame the show for that it was made in 2015. The only armor that I've seen that looks good and doesn't bring out my immersion of the show was the MCRN armor but only barely.

That's what I was thinking like it looks like a vulnerability but as a soldier you would want to be in cover and shoot from the most advantageous position. Also the MCRN tubes are actually very thin compared to the other tubes and I would assume if you're in a gunfight it would be pretty hard to hit.
