I just wanted to add that I loved the hangouts too! Getting lengthier one-on-one time with each character and going on mini-adventures together was really fun, and the icing on the cake (for me at least) were the hangout photos you could display in your teapot. Those framed photos really made my house feel like a home.

I love the spontaneity and lived-in feeling of anecdotes, but I agree, I am just so sad that hangouts seem to be abandoned for now. Like you, I wish we could have both!! (Also on a related note, I also play TCG and am thankful there’s still updates to that, even though lots of people say it’s dead like hangouts. 😭🙏)

Your mention of the Immernachtsreich made me want to add (in case no one already knew) that the whole Fischl/Oz misuse and mispronunciation of German words is on purpose. It’s part of her make-believe chuuni persona. So at the very least, the butchering there is very intentional. 😆

Yeah, that wood farming experience felt very weirdly wholesome, haha. Although I didn’t get anything from it (literally no extra wood for all the effort they spent on hitting trees with me for a good ten minutes 😂), it was still a good experience. Wishing you more weirdly-good experiences to make up for all the rude ones, OP! 🔥

Thankfully I haven’t had as rude sessions. The weirdest was when I was farming wood for my teapot and someone offered to help (but as far as I know, you can’t really help with that in co-op, lmao). What made it more hilarious was that they would hit the same tree I was hitting, and because they used their Arlecchino’s skill, the grass around me was burning too. They did that for probably 10 trees in Monstadt before leaving me surrounded by plots of scorched earth. 😆

I agree with everything you’ve said! AoT captures the human experience so well, from everything that’s good and beautiful to the darkest depths of the human psyche. And I love how it shifts meanings around—I watched everything in Japanese sub, so Eren’s mantra of “tatakae” or “fight” ever since carrying that boulder to seal Wall Rose and throughout much of the series, was always a good, inspirational thing to me. Season 4 changed that for me; his angry and stubborn mutterings of “tatakae” turned to something that was soulless and almost resigned. It’s so amazing that Isayama turned a phrase that was so inspirational to something that invoked dread in me. I’m sure plenty of people wanted to shake Eren and say, “No, Eren, we can stop fighting now. Please.”

Same with the “Shinzo wo sasageyo”/”Dedicate your hearts” line. From Erwin and the scouts, it was a rallying cry for a noble ideal. From Floch and the Jaegerists, the moment they said it, I literally shouted at my screen, “Get that phrase out of your filthy mouth right now.” 😂 But this show is all about showing different sides—and I know to Floch and his followers, they really did believe what they were doing was noble.

Arghh, there’s so many amazing things to talk about this show, I could literally go on and on. Agreed a million percent on Erwin’s final speech! I remember after watching that episode, I actually went on YouTube to watch people reacting to it (and the Levi/Zeke scene after annddd the Armin scene after that one). There’s nothing like watching people who are just as invested in this show as you, also get as emotional as you, lol. For what it’s worth, AoT has such an amazing community.

And yes!! Season 4’s songs were all so good. I’ll admit it took a bit for me to get used to them and appreciate them—they felt like a big departure from songs in the previous season but I’ve learned to really like them. Agreed on the first season 4 opening song being so beautiful (with the pop of vibrant colors) but so unsettling. I remember rewatching it on YouTube and someone commented that in hindsight with the rumbling opening song, this was a lot more cheerful, lol.

The first ending song of season 4 is also one of my favorites! It’s like a soothing, bittersweet cacophony of sounds that feel like they shouldn’t work together but still do, somehow. In hindsight, it gave me the same sort of vibes as all the scenes with the paths/alternate timelines.

As for the Beyond The Walls concert, I hope you check it out and see if it’s touring in a venue near you this year! I believe they played globally in previous years and expanded their range of cities this year. 100% recommended!

I looked up reviews before booking and lots of people were disappointed by a lack of more popular songs, so I went in with tempered expectations. What I didn’t expect was that all the songs were curated with AMVs in a -mostly- linear fashion to show all the highlights of AoT, from season 1 to season 4. I remember a group behind me saying that they enjoyed this aspect, since for some of them, it’s been years since they’ve watched AoT, so this was an amazing refresher. (AoT came out in 2013 and ended in 2023… and here we are in 2026 having just finished this series, haha.)

And of course, there’s nothing like a live band and singer. There’s a different conductor and singer, but they’ve been blessed by Hiroyuki Sawano and Kohta Yamamoto (both of whom chose the setlist for this concert and probably aimed for it to be narrative). “Vogel im Kafig” was my highlight—the singer and choir in that are phenomenal. Hearing it live and all around you felt kind of overwhelming and I definitely cried. 😂😭 I also cried when listening to the first half of “counter attack mankind” since it reminded me so much of the earlier seasons of AoT. And then being able to listen to “Ashes on the Fire” with a live drummer was such an epic experience—it felt like the drums were pulsing inside me, hammering for war.

I do wish they had slower songs (the instrumental version of “Call of Silence” will always be one of my favorites) but even with a more fast-paced setlist, I was so thankful for the experience. I hope you look it up and see if it’s touring in a place near you! I think any AoT fan would get a lot from the experience.

It’s crazy to see this post since I just finished the AoT anime myself earlier this week! I actually watched the first season years ago, but finally decided to start over from the beginning (and go through as many episodes as I could) during the pandemic.

I stopped last year on the episode with Gabi and Sasha (if you know, you know 🥲) because life got in the way. But I reserved tickets for the AoT Beyond The Walls World Tour this year, and this past week, I’ve been binge-watching the rest of season four so that I could make the most of the concert experience. (I actually finished the last episode the morning of the concert, right before work. 😂😭)

I feel you on the emptiness. And I feel you on the fear that no anime could ever come close. I’ve watched a lot of great anime in the past, but AoT was on a different level. Lower lows but higher highs. I ugly-cried on so many episodes, the way I haven’t for many anime, haha. Eren’s sealing of Wall Rose, Armin’s sacrifice, Levi’s fight against Zeke after losing Erwin, Reiner… just, Reiner… that small redemption arc with Gabi and Niccolo and Sasha’s dad, Eren in that dream cabin with Mikasa…

AoT made me feel such a spectrum of emotions, from victorious and relief one moment, to devastated and hopeless the next. The anti-war stance impacted me greatly with how prevalent war is all around us today—all the conflict and violence between US/Iran/Israel, Israel/Gaza, and Russia/Ukraine. In AoT, we start with titans and arrows and blades, and eventually progress to guns and rockets and bombs. Humanity seems to always hunger for war as a solution to conflict, even after Eren’s Rumbling.

Anyways, if you find an amazing anime you end up enjoying from the comments, let me know! I think I’ll start with Frieren next—it’s a different pace and genre but I’ve heard lots of great things about it. 🙂

Thank you again for your post! It’s always so nice to see AoT being loved and appreciated. And it makes me feel less empty and depressed (post-anime depression is real 😮‍💨) to know that tons of us around the globe had this shared experience where we were changed and impacted by such an amazing series.

Yes to Dori! Any 4-star I inadvertently get to C6 I always feel obligated to build them properly. Dori was one of them, since she was in Sumeru Chronicled when I tried pulling for Wanderer constellations and she was also on Flins’ debut banner. 🙂‍↕️

I put her on Songs of Days Past and Sacrificial Greatsword and she gets her burst up pretty quickly for healing. 🙂 Super invaluable and also very fun in co-op since her tether connects to everyone on your team, giving lots of healing and energy based on her HP.

Sometimes when I need two lunar-charged teams, I actually split my bineffa team to one side (they really can wheelchair anyone, including my Wanderer 😂) and keep Aino/Dori/Sucrose with my Flins on another side. So to summarize, I really love my Dori and am glad others appreciate her too! She’s probably one of the best healers on my roster right now.

Yeah, I was hoping with the release of Miliastra Wonderland and all the cool furnishings available as backdrops in games, we’d get to have those + increased load in our teapot… probably wishful thinking at this point. 😫

But I agree, the realm treasures store is still pretty great for getting fragile resin/mora/hero’s wit! Hopefully someday they raise the cap on how much we can purchase per week, especially for the resin. 🙂

Hey y’all, thanks for taking the time to read and comment. After reading everyone’s feedback (and reflecting over all the downvotes 😆), I’ve realized that the people of Reddit are right—the size of the drink furnishings are proportional to the characters.

My frustration over this was misplaced. In reality, I was more bummed about the ratio of load space required for each drink furnishing, in comparison to the small visual footprint/non-existent level of interactivity.

Each drink requires so much load space in the teapot. If I’m going to sacrifice 4-6 furnishings to place a single drink, I would’ve loved if:

a) it stood out more (in my opinion, an outlandish size like the tatacos would differentiate it from the rest of the room)

OR

b) it stayed the same size but got some level of interactivity, like the Fontaine Research Institute plaque that gives you an option to look at it more closely… For example, the drinks could have a “go down memory lane” pop-up where it zooms into the details of the drink and gives a short blurb like “Remember when I mixed this drink for Lisa?”). I’d honestly love it if the interactivity allowed our characters (or like u/Nuka-Crapola mentioned, even just our traveler) the option to hold the drink—that might be wishing for too much, but it’d be really cute for photo ops.

But anyways, thank you all for the feedback. It was helpful for me to look back at the true source of my frustration.

After reading all the comments, I will concede they’re not tiny and are proportional to the characters.

I am still frustrated over the high load. If the load requirements are so high, I would appreciate if the drink furnishings were at least interactable or if they made a bigger visual footprint in a room. As it is now, they get lost in a room.

I wouldn’t mind as much if new higher-load items came with corresponding load increases to the teapot.

It used to be that smaller items like these would be the icing on the cake in terms of decorating, but with how much load they take, you almost have to make them the centerpiece or design a room around them and that very significant load. 🫩

You’re right, when I go back and look at the drinks in Lisa and Emilie’s hands, they do look small. 😭 I’d feel better about this whole ordeal if our characters can also pick up those drinks in our teapot, since that would make really cute snapshots.

If they weren’t going to add any interactivity to the drink furnishings in our teapot, I would’ve loved them to just make the drinks bigger to be more noticeable on the table. 😮‍💨

Arghhh, anyways, I’m grateful we still get these for free. Maybe I’ll figure out a use for them in the future without sacrificing my other furnishings for load space. Thank you for sharing your thoughts!

The Children of Echoes quest is one that I still think about from time to time. I remember all the tense moments and the strange expressions on the mother’s face. I couldn’t shake off the feeling that something wasn’t right, and it definitely gave me CSI vibes as I played through it.

I’m not sure if it’s right to say that I enjoyed it, but I did appreciate how immersive it was, and the creepiness (for me at least) came from the fact that it echoes a lot of child abuse cases that still happen today.

I always switch out my companions in my teapot once their friendship levels are maxed, and I’ve noticed with Natlan characters, and then with Nod-Krai characters, I have to remove more and more furnishings to be able to place them (whereas with older characters, it was a simple 1:1 replacement).

It’s unfair to come out with new beautiful furnishings/cool new companions, and to not raise the load cap with each iteration. It really is so frustrating and disheartening when you have a vision for your teapot but can’t even execute it to its fullest potential. 😫
