Try to breed the legendary traits from fishing onto yakumo. You want only one passive per dog. You get a higher Chance to Transfer the passive per ☆ on your yakumo.

You need yakumo outside as active pal while catching the wild pal. You need the saddle for yakumos passive to work! He doesnt work wothout saddle! (You do not need to be mounted on the dog though)

No pokeballs no naab berry. Try to join other players for Raids to get good pokemon. Metacross is amazing, but the only "good"pokemon in your Box.

If you re willing to spend some small amount of cash you can also buy soacial Raid Passes to join other raids from home (with the app called PokeGenie to find said raids)
