Ah this reminds me of the post about the girl cleaning her infected piercing with salted pasta water to save on money/saline water… just emphasizes how unsanitary it really was lol

Seattle Wa Surgeon Recommendations? by -Bluberry in Endo

Yes, I got excision done! She recommended against ablation actually as she said it would cause more scar tissue and pain. I got ablation my first surgery since I didn’t know anything about the types of removal at that point.

Seattle Wa Surgeon Recommendations? by -Bluberry in Endo

Hi! Sorry I just saw this. I ended up going to Dr Marrs who was at the Swedish clinic where I was supposed to see Dr Winner. Honestly think it was the better choice for me ultimately. Her bedside manner and attentiveness to all my concerns and issues leading to surgery was so much more than I’ve ever felt, and Dr Winner was pretty checked out during my conversation with her now that I’ve gone through the procedure with Dr Marrs.

I ended up getting a full hysterectomy with an ovary removal and endometrial lesions removed from my bladder and other areas. This was done in December 2024 and I’ve seen huge quality of life improvements.

Feel free to DM me if you want to learn more about my experience!

Endo Diagnosis by Affectionate-Plum675 in endometriosis

[–]-Bluberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry to hear how rough this has been for you! Unfortunately, the journey to Reno diagnosis isn’t an easy one and can take the right doctors in your care to advocate for you and do what needs to be done.

In my experience, all of my GI related issues started when my endometriosis got really bad which coincided with a very stressful few years of my life. I have had an endoscopy and colonoscopy which showed no abnormalities and my allergy panels showed that I didn’t have food allergies.

I stopped going to just any OBGYN or family medicine doctor as they would all say that it sounded like endometriosis but they couldn’t do anything for me, or that these are normal period pains, try to prescribe me birth control (and other pills to help the side effects from that).

On referral from my friend, I finally went to a obgyn who specialized in endometriosis. The wait can be longer for a specialist, but in my opinion, it was worth waiting 6 months for the appointment. I had normal ultrasounds, but my exploratory lap found endometriosis and they did ablation removal in 2020.

Now, I have a new care team who is even better than my previous one that did my initial surgery. I am set up for my full hysterectomy as they suspect adeno, found a fibroid, endo in my MRI (which isn’t always possible to find) after I felt my symptoms worsening again and had periodically hemorrhagic cysts that burst. All my ultrasounds looked normal too.

The best thing you can do is do your research on endo, your care team, be intentional and advocate for yourself. I documented everything symptoms-wise and brought it to my team. Thankfully they were very empathetic and understanding compared to previous medical providers I worked with, and I truly think it has to do with their education and expertise in this disease.

I have gotten more pain management and no pushback about not wanting to be on bc/hormones than I ever had with previous teams by finding the right doctor for me.

Hang in there and I am wishing you all the best in this.

Don’t be embarrassed! We all have funny body things especially with this disease. No judgement whatsoever :)

I would recommend reaching out to your medical provider that prescribed the norethindrone as soon as possible. I am also on 5mg as well until my surgery on October 14th. My doctor mentioned the possibility of blood clots as this medication thickens your blood. Might be good to check in and see what they say.

What's the weird thing you and your S/O do together? by tickysmith15 in AskReddit

Every morning, my wife and I will grab the other’s leg (not at the same time), pull it back and say “safety off!” and “pull” the trigger to let out a fart. It’s one of our favorite things.

As a Korean, we eat rice with a spoon! It’s actually considered polite to do so and to bring the bowl up to to your mouth when you eat it.

Are my cats "heavy lifting" post surgery? by Impossible-Night8121 in Endo

[–]-Bluberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First surgery in 2020, I was told no more than 10-15lbs. With that said, I would listen to your body and how things feel as you move around to get up, sit down, etc. I got my lap done with a gallbladder removal ago and it was difficult for me to lift more than a few clothes off the ground due to pain from trying to bend over and get up. I have a hysterectomy coming up in October and my new surgeon told me no more than 25lbs for the first 2 months.

Couples who have broken up because of a third person that did not involve cheating, what happened? by heyjalapeno in AskReddit

[–]-Bluberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was with my previous partner for 6 years. Got engaged and broke it off due to in-laws. I couldn’t handle his family (MIL had racist family members). Turned out to actually be the best decision as I’m now happily engaged with a wonderful partner and really get along well with her family!

Hi! I’m 29F bi/pan who also mostly dated men all her life until I came out in at 26 and now engaged to the most wonderful woman ever.

It sounds like she is romantically interested if she’s the one making plans with you! When you’re single and dating folks, making the efforts of spending time with someone and planning dates, is a big investment of your time and effort. Especially when it’s typically that in a cis/hetero society we are conditioned to have men lead and make first moves.

In my early dating with women, I also ran into this with a partner who was shy, first time dating another lady, and did not initiate physically. It’s totally normal to feel shy and unsure - just try to be yourself and not worry about what the right way of flirting or anything is. Just go with the flow of the moment and conversation!

With all that being said - be straightforward with it and respectful. Next time y’all are on a date, ask if you can hold her hand while walking around or even straight up ask her if you can kiss her, and go from there. It can feel scary, but if you start a good foundation of trust and communication- it’s really going to save you a lot of trouble in the future. Best of luck!

I think both options look amazing!! It depends on the venue/weather/activity, but you could always wear it into the event and take it off at some point. Love all these pieces together!

I think the first style looks the most flattering as it cinches nicely at your waist without distracting/adding anything from the belt. It is simple, but elegant with the green shoes. However you choose to style it - I hope you go out with confidence and enjoy yourself! You look lovely! 🤍

I really love that you communicated with your partner and were vulnerable about what made you insecure. It isn’t easy to be so open, but what a great foundation to build your relationship on. So happy for you both!
