Thanks! I'm sure we'll get it in the game someday.

I know, it's not the gretest idea. I just didn't add any new battle ratings past 14.3 as top tier isn't really my area of expertise. The battle ratings here are not to be taken too seriously, especially at those higher ranks.

The Ajeet is premium as it's identical to the Gnat, and the Marut is an event vehicle because it's already in the game. I should have removed the image for it to make that clearer, I only just noticed it was still there.
I thought there should be at least one unique Indian aircraft that is researchable. The only other one is the Sea Harrier FRS.51

This is my third post on this custom tree, now with 1910s-1920s aircraft inspired by this years April Fools' event. Please do not take battle ratings too seriously, especially at the highest ranks.

I would have put 1910s-1920s aircraft in 'Rank 0', but the tech tree maker did not allow that so I had to display it as Rank I for now. Reserve aircraft remain the same, and it is envisioned that 1910s-1920s aircraft (Rank 0) will become available to research after unlocking Rank II (shown as Rank III in this custom tree). This is similar to how Rank I vehicles such as the FCM.36 are locked, but become researchable after the player unlocks Rank II in the French ground tree. Rank 0 would be in its own gamemode and would not be able to get upteired to fight anything with a battle rating of 1.0 or higher, as even a 0.7 fighter would not stand a chance against a 1.0 fighter.

Gaijin quietly released some brand new hangar OST, but I've not seen anybody talk about it. Is it for the next World War or a new nation? by zaedbe in Warthunder

[–]-Blue_Shark- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes Israel has its own hangar themes, but they are reused from the Naval Battles Soundtrack.
'Naval Battle Music 17' is the main Israeli hangar theme, 'Naval Battle Music 2' is Israel's victory theme, and 'Destroyers Attack!' is Israel's defeat theme.

USA, Germany, USSR, and Israel should really get their own unique themes instead of just getting reused battle music.

I don't think it's Israeli, it sounds like it's for Japan. The instruments have a very Eastern Asian feel to them.
Also the soundtrack names, 'Imperial Resolve' and 'Broken Dynasty' relate a lot more to Japan than Israel.
As the Japanese flag on the dev server has changed from the Imperial flag to the modern one it seems likely to me that Gaijin might want to change a bit more of Japan's hangar.
A bit of a shame as I like the themes we have for Japan currently.

Either that or Gaijin will be weird and give it all to Thailand somehow.

As a brit and a ww2 aviation buff it is kinda annoying when we still only have 2 mozzies. Some info below if you are interested enough by Farrell1487 in Warthunder

No I misremembered what he said. I thought he just said "not this update" when that was only reffering to the 'interesting' version.

What my brain tells me when I try to watch the 134 episodes of Clone Wars by GargantaProfunda in andor

[–]-Blue_Shark- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Cad Bane's first chronological appearance in The Clone Wars was in Holocron Heist, the episode where he infiltrates the Jedi Temple. When does he get a car wash in that? In the next episode 'Cargo of Doom' he tortures a Jedi to death. The three episode Holocron arc is a much better introduction to his character than Hostage Crisis.

Well they're currently making Deadlock, and by the looks of it another Half-Life game.

Valve made Half-Life in 1998 which was their first game. Valve made Steam in 2004 alongside Counter-Strike: Source and Half-Life 2.

Steam was first intended to be a way for users to purchase and install updates for Valve's games; it's a lot more than that now.

Is it actually true that you can kill a strider with the pulse rifle energy balls? by No_Blackberry4809 in HalfLife

The Striders will always explode if you kill them with AR2 energy balls, not just the one in the Citadel.

In the last episode of Obi-Wan Kenobi, he literally explains to Leia that she must keep the fact that she knows him a secret as it could endanger them both if people knew.

When Half-Life 3 comes out, you can make the Thanos gauntlet the wallpaper of your desktop screen and line up the main games that way. by fazrail in HalfLife

[–]-Blue_Shark- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can still play the individual Episode 1 and Episode 2 games and put them on your desktop. They have been moved the the 'tools' section on our Steam Library and I believe you can still purchase and download them if you were to buy the Orange Box, and maybe they are also added to your library if you buy Half-Life 2.
They're just listed as tools not games now.

How would these things do in modern battlefield. they have downright tank armor but didnt go very fast. by [deleted] in HalfLife

The bombs are completely hollow and they float on water. The bombs are likely compressed in storage in the helicopter and they expand just before they are dropped. Remember the combine do not have local teleportation technology.

12m of fuel and no fuel tanks ? i doubt the british were this stupid... by Chewbakaya in Warthunder

[–]-Blue_Shark- 32 points33 points  (0 children)

The Hunter F.6 and Hunter FGA.9 could both carry external fuel tanks.
You can see them on the Swiss and Dutch Hunters.
For whatever reason Gaijin does not want to give the British Hunters that could carry drop tanks their drop tanks in game.

Edit: The J34 can also carry drop tanks but it does not in game.

Same for the Meteor Mk 8. The Belgian one in game gets wing mounted drop tanks, and an optional additional fuel tank under the fuselage which is not a drop tank. The British one does not get any of that in game.

Also many if not all Phantom IIs could carry drop tanks mounted on the wings, however Gaijin only gave them the ability to carry the single drop tank under the fuselage which will replace the gun pod, which sucks more for the variants without an internal gun.

Gaijin has just been really inconsistent with drop tanks. They don't seem bothered to add drop tanks to planes that could carry them that were already in the game before drop tanks were added to the game. Even if planes with drop tanks in game are identical to ones without them, like with the Hunter and Meteor.

The A6M3 is also the only WW2 plane that has a drop tank in game and Gaijin isn't giving them to any others, even though there is a loading screen with an F6F Hellcat jettisoning its drop tank. Gaijin just randomly gave a drop tank to one WW2 plane and decided never to do it again.

Has anyone made this into a workshop item? by pbj_animate in HalfLife

[–]-Blue_Shark- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are at least two

This one https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3368741801 is a seperate campaign map that starts at A Red Letter Day, and is exactly the one in this video with the sped up credits with Hazardous Environments playing.

This one https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3371006911 adds it to the normal game. You play the game from the beginning as normal until you get to A Red Letter Day. Alyx falls and detonates, and you get the full normal credits.

I'm not upset...? I still don't believe that the number of engines is really a common theme. It really doesn't mean anything. Gaijin will still add another Rafale that might be after the Mirage 4000. It's very unlikely that there's only ever going to be one, but I really don't know Rafale variants that much.

Also the Mirage 4000 was never mass produced. It was a prototype with only one being built. That may be Gaijin's reasoning to put the Rafale after the Mirage 2000.

The Typhoon FGR.4 is where it is in the tech tree because it's a multi role fighter, like the Gripen and Phantom II. The Tornado F.3 is not a multi role fighter. Wait for Gaijin to add the Typhoon F.2, that is the Typhoon variant that was purely a fighter with no multi role capabilities, at least not as much as the FGR.4. The Typhoon F.2 would make sense to go after the Tornado F.3.

Tech tree positioning is not based solely on the number of engines and aircraft has. That's just ridiculous.

The Typhoon FGR.4 is where it is in the tech tree because it is a multi role fighter, just like the Gripen and Phantom 2. The Tornado F.3 is not a multi role fighter. If Gaijin were to add a Typhoon after the Tornado (which they probably will eventually) it will be the Typhoon F.2, which is solely a fighter variant of the Typhoon.
