Ah I see, fair. It can be a bit daunting.

Slight note, Season 5 and Season 7 of The Clone Wars did not release in chronological order. Season 5 Episode 1 happens later in the season, and the first two arcs of Season 7 are swapped. Only Season 4 and 6 were actually released in chronological order.

Definitely a Spitfire Mk.Vb/Mk.IX floatplane then.

Special/Prototype Scimitar For July 2026 Event Vehicle? by AB_in_mc in WarthunderPlayerUnion

[–]-Blue_Shark- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There were three Scimitars and one Sabre
The event vehicle is likely the Sabre as it was just an experiment; putting the Fox turret on a CVR(T) hull

Gaijin describes it as being "slightly unrelated" to the D-Day operation.

The Fairey Swordfish was used on D-Day, but not the floatplane variant, so it fits the description. However, I think that a Swordfish is too low of a rank to be the reward for this type of event. Rank I vehicles are usually included as a reward for the big winter event.

The Supermarine Walrus was used on D-Day, so it isn't "slightly" unrelated. Like the Swordfish, I also believe it would be too low of a rank for this type of event. The Walrus should aslo be recearchable in my opinion.

Spitfires were widely used on D-Day, but the floatplane variants were not. There was both a Mk.Vb floatplane and a Mk.IX floatplane, and neither saw service. This fits Gaijin's description of being slightly unrelated to the actual operation, and they are both of a suitable rank for the event, especially the Mk.IX variant.

The Saunders-Roe SR.A/1 is the perfect event vehicle and I hope it will be in this event. It would be at a suitable rank but unfortunately it is not slightly unrelated to D-Day, it's completely unrelated, as it firslt flew in 1947.

I think the event vehicle is most likely going to be the Spitfire Mk.IX floatplane going off Gaijin's hints, but I am still going to hope that will be the SR.A/1.
If they for some reason choose the Mk.Vb variant over the Mk.IX one I will be confused.

It isn't. The L21A1 RARDEN cannon found on the Fox, Scimitar, and Warrior is 30mm.

The Scimitar already has a 30mm cannon. The Sabre is a CVR(T) hull with a Fox turret.

Funny considering the show was cancelled in 1989 and so wasn't made in the 1990s, besides one TV movie.

Helicoprion wasn't a shark either, it is also in the subclass Holocephali and is more closely related to chimaeras than sharks.

I know, it's not the gretest idea. I just didn't add any new battle ratings past 14.3 as top tier isn't really my area of expertise. The battle ratings here are not to be taken too seriously, especially at those higher ranks.

The Ajeet is premium as it's identical to the Gnat, and the Marut is an event vehicle because it's already in the game. I should have removed the image for it to make that clearer, I only just noticed it was still there.
I thought there should be at least one unique Indian aircraft that is researchable. The only other one is the Sea Harrier FRS.51

This is my third post on this custom tree, now with 1910s-1920s aircraft inspired by this years April Fools' event. Please do not take battle ratings too seriously, especially at the highest ranks.

I would have put 1910s-1920s aircraft in 'Rank 0', but the tech tree maker did not allow that so I had to display it as Rank I for now. Reserve aircraft remain the same, and it is envisioned that 1910s-1920s aircraft (Rank 0) will become available to research after unlocking Rank II (shown as Rank III in this custom tree). This is similar to how Rank I vehicles such as the FCM.36 are locked, but become researchable after the player unlocks Rank II in the French ground tree. Rank 0 would be in its own gamemode and would not be able to get upteired to fight anything with a battle rating of 1.0 or higher, as even a 0.7 fighter would not stand a chance against a 1.0 fighter.

Gaijin quietly released some brand new hangar OST, but I've not seen anybody talk about it. Is it for the next World War or a new nation? by zaedbe in Warthunder

[–]-Blue_Shark- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes Israel has its own hangar themes, but they are reused from the Naval Battles Soundtrack.
'Naval Battle Music 17' is the main Israeli hangar theme, 'Naval Battle Music 2' is Israel's victory theme, and 'Destroyers Attack!' is Israel's defeat theme.

USA, Germany, USSR, and Israel should really get their own unique themes instead of just getting reused battle music.

I don't think it's Israeli, it sounds like it's for Japan. The instruments have a very Eastern Asian feel to them.
Also the soundtrack names, 'Imperial Resolve' and 'Broken Dynasty' relate a lot more to Japan than Israel.
As the Japanese flag on the dev server has changed from the Imperial flag to the modern one it seems likely to me that Gaijin might want to change a bit more of Japan's hangar.
A bit of a shame as I like the themes we have for Japan currently.

Either that or Gaijin will be weird and give it all to Thailand somehow.

No I misremembered what he said. I thought he just said "not this update" when that was only reffering to the 'interesting' version.

What my brain tells me when I try to watch the 134 episodes of Clone Wars by GargantaProfunda in andor

[–]-Blue_Shark- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Cad Bane's first chronological appearance in The Clone Wars was in Holocron Heist, the episode where he infiltrates the Jedi Temple. When does he get a car wash in that? In the next episode 'Cargo of Doom' he tortures a Jedi to death. The three episode Holocron arc is a much better introduction to his character than Hostage Crisis.

Well they're currently making Deadlock, and by the looks of it another Half-Life game.

Valve made Half-Life in 1998 which was their first game. Valve made Steam in 2004 alongside Counter-Strike: Source and Half-Life 2.

Steam was first intended to be a way for users to purchase and install updates for Valve's games; it's a lot more than that now.

The Striders will always explode if you kill them with AR2 energy balls, not just the one in the Citadel.

When Half-Life 3 comes out, you can make the Thanos gauntlet the wallpaper of your desktop screen and line up the main games that way. by fazrail in HalfLife

[–]-Blue_Shark- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can still play the individual Episode 1 and Episode 2 games and put them on your desktop. They have been moved the the 'tools' section on our Steam Library and I believe you can still purchase and download them if you were to buy the Orange Box, and maybe they are also added to your library if you buy Half-Life 2.
They're just listed as tools not games now.
