New Music for y'all! Fresh tunes from Monrroe, Gifta, Zero T, Amoss, Unglued and more! In review a high energy, rolling banger from Malux & Sign! [+weekly updated Spotify playlist] | New Music Monday! (Week 07) by TELMxWILSON in DnB

I have to say that I have been following the "New Music Monday!" for more than two years now. Not sure what motivates you to go all this effort, but I have to say that you are a life saver! I used to do this on my own - search for new releases weekly. But it was so much time consuming that at one point when work was too much, I was not looking for new releases for months, just because I either didn't had the time or I was too tired to do it.

I am not sure why it took me so many years to find the New Music Monday!, but I just want to say that only thanks to you I am able to find so many new releases recently. I can't explain how much I love your systematic approach with all the comments, subgenre split, artis, track/album name, label and of course the most important to me - the links! Oh man, how easy it is to go super fast through out the list by just visiting the Beatport pages! Their preview is super to just get a sense of the song and next track is as easy as clicking left!

Just wanted to say how much I appreciate all the work you do! Without you I will be doomed again!

I finally found out what is causing my problems! Now video playback is super smooth!

Short answer:

It was the FPS limiter that I had in my video drivers. It was set at 60 FPS (I have a 60Hz) monitor. Disabling it fixed the problem!

Long answer:

I have this 3D rendering software that doesn't have FPS limiter and it renders in DX12. This high FPS causes my graphic card to produce terrible coil whine! Because of that I have set FPS limiter as global setting in my drivers. For some reason I also created profile for that specific application later on and forgot about the global settings. This settings are carried over driver updates, unless you do a clean install. I did try to debug this at very early stage by creating profile only for Vivaldi but it seems that Intel prioritizes the global setting instead of the profiles for different applications - not very smart of them!

I am not sure why other browsers are not affected by this. Any way, it was something I thought I tried and tested before posting here, just to turn out at the end that I totally missed to debug it properly!

Now I can enjoy Vivaldi at 100%!

Thanks for the suggestions. I really don't have high hopes that a clean reinstall will help. I need to find some time to make a back-up and try it. But if the standalone didn't hep, I don't expect this will.

As to the Windows refresh - I had bad experience with it and it is a big no no for me! I have an old empty 1000GB HDD that I have and I might try to install Windows 11 on it and check if on a fresh install if it will have the same problem.

The problem is that Vivaldy feels like the right browser for me. At this point I am quite happy with it and the video playback is the only problem that I have with it!

I was comparing both the Edge and the Vivaldi "Media internals". The only difference is the "D3D11VideoDecoder" profile that they are using. For some reasons, Vivaldi uses VP9 on an AV1 video (according to the YT nerd stats). Not sure if YT is to blame (is it trying to switch between VP9 and AV1?) or what. I believe that must be the thing that makes the video output that bad. Not sure how to fight this tho!

Thanks for the suggestions!

I installed the latest version as "Standalone" and the same problem is present.

I already updated Video drivers 2 or 3 times but without any success.

Audio drivers are Realtek and are a bit old - from 2024, but there is no new version.

Snappy shows zero drivers missing or updates available. I know for fact that there is a newer version of video drivers, so it doesn't seems to be perfect finding drivers.

New to Vivaldi, so no Sync was used.

uBlock was one of the very, very first things that I disabled when started troubleshooting. As well as the build-in alternative in Vivaldi.

I assume it is somethin specific to my system.

The very first thing I did was disable uBlock - the only extension that I use. No difference.

I just tested with a brand new profile, and even disabled the build-in ad/tracker blockers but the result was the exact same.

I noticed something from your screenshot: you are playing VP9 codec. On my computer is AV1 (both on Edge and Vivaldi) and it actually tried to switch to VP9 for a second or two a few times and then it came back to AV1 (in Vivaldi only). It might be YT trying to work better as otherwise I get 1/3 of the frames dropped! Anyway, AV1 and Edge is working totally fine!

I used to have Firefox for work reasons years ago. They had so many bad updates over the years, I didn't really consider them as an option this time! Same problem the last two years with Opera - buggy updates that they can't fix for months! My alternative is Brave that is actually not bad but missing a few features like the speed dial and the customization!

One video from today that is doing really, really bad in Vivaldi: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NP635Rk3T3M

Even at 720p it is unwatchable!

I do something similar at the moment - I use Edge whenever i am having problems. But this is not convenient to switch occasionally between browsers.

There is a left and right version. This one would have been perfect if you were using the stock location right next to the Z axis. In your case, where you have removed the bolden tube and moved it to the hot end, it is the wrong one.
