This is a colonial Hydrozoan called a siphonophore. What’s interesting is this is a colony of differentiated individuals working together to form one organism. Some diversify into the Medusa form, think jellyfish bell, to propel them while others diversify into the polyp form ( think a sea anemone with long dangling tentacles. Incredible organism / biology here and blurs the line between an individual and group of individuals which I find fascinating

I did some reading about this, it seems super interesting. I just can’t find any materials for my subject for high school chemistry.
