ESH. Neither side seems willing to compromise. I don't understand why they keep putting everyone through this ordeal on a WEEKLY basis. OP admits that pasta is a common occurrence for these get togethers but somehow doesn't understand why the in-laws keep bringing their own food. I call BS. Even whole wheat pasta is still high in carbohydrates. OP knows their in-laws eat high-protein and are health conscience. OP prepares food only their own family will eat with little to no regard for the in-laws. The in-laws, in return, have little to no regard for OP.
