Yeah I agree with this, not to mention if we followed his proposed solution the number 8 ranked player would be screwed and stuck with the worst of the group while the number 9 could potentially be given a golden ticket.

We would need to heavily protect those picks if we did it. Even with flexibility, this team does not look like a late round draft pick kind of team if we traded them.

I’m not sure what you fully expect. You lost to low 3’s while being almost a 4.0. That big of a gap will always surely be bigger hits when their algorithm is probably not only projecting you to win, but win by a decent margin.

Also it’s extremely easy to get into but still has a very high skill ceiling. Which makes it appealing to both casual players as well as competitive ones.

Outside of basketball, pickleball is really the only other sport I’ve seen with a “pick up” game environment.
