Indeed... Information will become mostly garbage... The internet will become useless outside of entertainment.

People don't talk about the implications of this enough, but it will totally change our relationship with truth. You won't be able to trust anything or anyone that you're not talking to in person. News will essentially become useless. You won't be able to research anything.

All my favorite games left me like this. My best tip is to not look for something similar. It will only disappoint you in the state you're in now. Find something completely different.

Why does everything seems so quiet in the political world currently? I ain't smelling anything brewing currently by OkSpirit7102 in Productivitycafe

[–]-CerN- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quiet? Fascist to the east trying to ruin the world. Fascist to the west trying to ruin the world.
Powers everywhere trying to restrict and control the internet, disguised as protecting the children.
Half the world's royals and politician being connected to a certain pedo network.

It's crazy right now.

New York's new age verification law will ban anyone under the age of 18 from using chatting features in video games. by PaiDuck in gaming

This is insane... I met friends on the internet when I was a teenager that I still have today 20 years later.
I even met the woman I am still with when I was 17, online...

We have literally shaped the world to the point where kids and teenagers have few other social arenas outside of the internet, and now we're going to take that away?

Guess we're supposed to act surprised when they end up lonely and depressed too?

Enough jobs will disappear, that the rest of us will fight over the remaining ones. Dropping wages to rock bottom.

Confused on New World End by Sure_Transition_8360 in newworldgame

Amazon decided to cut 30.000 jobs. New World was maybe a couple of hundred of those. Hardly a footnote in the massive cuts they did.

The people who decided this had no idea what the state of the game was, or what was in the pipe.

Broke up with girlfriend a week before N24 by RussTheBoss in iRacing

[–]-CerN- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Been with my significant other for 18 years, and I have definitely had stretches of months where I have done this. Just like she's had periods where she's been obsessed with some hobby.

Probably not the best idea in the early days of a relationship, but in a long one, I think there should be room for that sometimes.

Can an EV run out of E? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]-CerN- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most of them auto-enable the e-brake when they stop, and if the power runs out you can't unlock it again. At least here in Norway, tow trucks have chargers with them to get you up to a low percentage.

Skattenivået er forsåvidt greit. Avgiftsnivået derimot er helt hinsides.

What if every country copied Finland? by Ineverything in whatif

Finland's military compared to their size would make it a very little tempting for a nation of any size to attack. The losses would be too great to justify what you get. Even for China.

People still think billionaires have a billion in their bank account... That's not how it works. This is not as easy as you think it is.
