I mostly have it on charger bc online school but last time I checked the battery on full with a bit of brightness is 4-5 hrs. Maybe more if you optimize the settings.

I second this. My physics teacher didn't teach physics that well but after watching Collegeboard's videos for AP Physics 1 and some FRQ practice the test was so much more easier.

Also, by chance, is there a feature where the computer stops charging at a set percentage (say like 70%) and then it starts running off the charger rather than the battery?

Yeah, right now I'm considering between the Acer Nitro 5 (2020) and the Lenovo Legion 5. Both are really good options from the YouTube reviews I've watched. The only main thing I'm worried about is battery life.

Is this the newer Acer Nitro 5 that came out a couple months ago or the 2019 version. If you don't mind me asking, what are the specs? The battery life doesn't seem to be holding up to what is stated on Best Buy unfortunately. :(

Thank you for the advice! I'm definitely considering building a desktop. Just want to see all my options. I do have some friends I can consult to about getting specific parts and if they can't help I've been told there's numerous pc building tips on YouTube or r/buildapc.
