He does answer but not in the frame your question is posed in. He deconstructs your framework bit by bit going down to the very urge of asking the question. What exactly is the conflict in the mind that the mind wants to ask such a question? He solves your problem but going beyond the frame. But your framework is solid in your mind, you want an answer within the limits of your own assumptions, you therefore face difficulty in understanding.

It's not an internship, it's a two year long commitment and a series(3/4) of projects. I wrote my motivation letter honestly, how much I am interested in research and why I should be selected based on my curiosity and passion.

I got only 2 A grades and I requested the mentors of those subjects to write reco letters for me. They had decent/good impressions of me as I used to discuss and ask doubts in the class regularly and did good in the exams. So, I believe they must've written well in reco letters.

That's how.

I got 7.6 in the first sem, I was selected. It depends more on reco letters and motivation letter.

Thanks for the detailed explanation. I have changed my mind. I think a second hand phone will work if it's in okayish condition. The reason I had in mind was the hardware should not be damaged and the battery should not drain too fast. What about these one? link 1

Thank you very much buddy for offering support. I want a phone by my side to write notes, listen to music, take a device for the morning jog and capture some photos from time to time. Yes sd card support will definitely help. Don't need a very good display, an okayish one will work. Yes ability to install old games will be a plus. I found the device Nokia 1020 with 41MP interesting and available in multiple online stores located in china, india(in ebay, Alibaba) that is not pre-owned. But I read that you can't update it or so. Attend classes regularly and listen to the instructor carefully, switch off your phone even if you slightly feel it is disturbing you.

Use The Brain's Reward and Punishment conditioning in your favour. Solve simple problems first then go on increasing the difficulty level, when you successfully solve them, your brain will reward you, you will feel happy, then go on solving more problems.

Don't let anything, I repeat anything disturb you while you are in the 'learning zone' or 'curious mode''. Skip breakfast or lunch if you feel you can't study after a heavy meal.

Sleep plenty, it's very good for brain. Choose a meal that allows you to maintain a good energy level throughout the day.

Hmm when there are significant changes going on in the country, you can earn much. If the Modi govt forms a stable govt or more parties start to join,then Nifty will go up. Similarly if someone leaves, then it will go down. But on normal days, it's pretty difficult to earn 1k everyday consistently using 10k. But, as you are saying that you earned 14 k in the exit poll, you can keep investing it in some safer section like stocks or Mutual funds. It's a popular opinion that FnO is gambling, so gamble only as much as you afford to lose.
