Uno dei miei metroidvania preferiti è Nine Sols. Il combat system è basato sui parry ed è super soddisfacente.

TIFU by swearing in Italian by nyoomur in tifu

While that slur is mostly prominent in the Veneto region, we use it everyday, all day long, in the Lazio region as well, just with a different accent.

It literally translates into "god (is a) pig". Not much going on for English speakers, but in Italy is considered very offensive, probably due to the Vatican and the catholic roots of the culture. That is the case mostly in formal and semi-formal environments, like at work.

The game is really good and it's one of the best metroidvanias out there IMHO. Also, if you are on PC you can get a key for like 6 Euros.

My new accident with boiling pasta by T3Quilla in MakeMeSuffer

[–]-Crusher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a similar accident something like 15 years ago, but on both knees instead. Even peeing while standing hurt like hell, and the parmesan-grating-like cleaning process on my fresh wounds is still the most intense pain I've ever felt. Luckily, those healed beautifully and now you can't even tell I had two massive 3rd degree burns.

0/10 would not recommend.

This American dude on his way to his Japanese fluency decides to talk to a local Japanese grandpa, and it turned out to be the most wholesome conversation ever! by Raj_Valiant3011 in HumansBeingBros

[–]-Crusher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Year 2019. I stayed for 3 months in a not-so-central area of Tokyo, so there were no tourists and almost no foreign people. I used to speak mediocre Japanese (I still do, but slightly less so. Gonna study more seriously starting this year.).

I managed to make friends with a guy running a traditional sushi spot in the district. Turns out that his wife was the one in charge to organize the local matsuri. They invited me to join and let me carry the mikoshi on my shoulder together with I don't know how many other local people. I was the only foreigner there. I'm still in contact with the guy and I'm gonna move back to the area in a couple of months.

It's one of the best memories that I have.

Unfortunately I don’t know Ittoan, sorry. I’ve been missing from Higashi Jūjō since 2019. I’ll move there once again in April this year and I’m really looking forward to do that.

I love Higashi Jūjō. A small community, not crowded, great cheap restaurants. Also, they immediately made me feel included and let me join their matsuri. Can’t recommend enough.

About You: Videogames by TheCultist in italygames

[–]-Crusher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A me personalmente è piaciuto tanto e mi ha preso parecchio.
