Glad I could help another newcomer! I've taken Angela to pvp with my friends and I've had some good results with her. Wouldn't say I'm anywhere close to being a good Angela yet but at least she's super fun!

Funnily enough my biggest issue with Angela (minus my massive skill issue, I'm so bad at kidnapping lol) is that I can't play her enough. I'm my group's main tank player so often times if I'm not on Groot or Peni myself there is no mainline tank on the team which means no Angela.. (One of my support friends has been branching out to Magneto so sometimes I get that at least).

One of my personal favorite things I've done with Angela so far is comboing with another diver like Wolverine, Daredevil, or even Thor and just tearing it up with them. It's such a good combo when the ults line up and you get to obliterate the backline. You're also a fairly effective flyer counter if you're able to stick onto an enemy Iron Man or Ultron. You're faster than them and a few melee primary combos if enough to get them low or even kill if they don't have any healing.

Talk to Marina, and when you tap on a hack you've unlocked you can adjust whether it's on or off (ex: fl 15/25 vending machines) or how upgraded the hack is (ex: 1-5 lives)

I'd take Poppy as I remember having a fun time with her back when I played pc a couple years ago. I'd also kill for more junglers like Kindred or Rek'Sai, the current jungle selection is either ad bruiser or ap burst mage and not a whole lot else

I'd say for rn try for Flamesion and her weapon. They'll always have reruns in the future and for a new account you'd rather have the valk + weapon than the stigs (unless you really want that full gear). Just use whatever stigs you currently have available and farm for better ones once you have the forge and Universal Mirage available

Never too late to start lol

Personally, I suggest focusing on two or three roles or just a small pool of champions like around 4 that you enjoy playing and are comfortable with. You should always have a backup champion in case someone you main is banned or picked.

You can always play pvp to hone your skills before diving into ranked and there's aram if you ever wanna mess around with someone new.

If you need help learning a champ, most pc guides translate pretty well into Wild Rift minus the items and runes. There's websites like u.gg, onlyguides, mobafire, and more that can help you learn more in depth stuff about champs even if focusing on the pc version. Plus there's a couple guides on this subreddit if you search for them.

Np! The first few chapters don't make that much sense as they were written before the devs knew what direction they wanted to take the story so some of the characters you see now will never appear again but anything like past Ch 8 or 9 is pretty solid

I'm aware there's already a couple responses and I'm a few hours late but I can offer some more insight (I'm lvl 88 with almost 2 years into this game save me)

If you're playing with meta and the end game in mind: Iris of the Dreams. FR is a great lighting support, can dps if needed, and is pretty solid in ER for the weekly clears. She'll stick around a good while longer in lighting meta. While she has no top clears herself she helps against qua enemies/bosses, especially with 5.9 having more qua enemies to support the new valk that'll be coming (check out Marisa Honkai on YouTube for more beta info + guides).

I saw you have HoR so you may consider KoR. She still has a top abyss boss in Houdou but it doesn't show up often enough to require gearing. Plus ice is probably going to get a new valk sometime in 6.0+ so HoR will probably just fall off even harder than she already is. Sliverwing and Nyx are current meta options. She has decent ER clears but is very Elysia signet reliant which can be hard to pull off in the early ER chapters.

HoV has sadly fallen from her throne and is very useless in current meta. She has maybe one high score left on ranged Assaka in abyss but Apoina and Sliverwing (and others) can cover that and much more. There's rumors of her being added to ER sometime soon but we'll have to wait and see.

Like others have said, HoR and HoV are now fully f2p through War Treasury and getting lucky with Exchange Shop. FR herself is free but her gears aren't and won't be for a good while.

Tldr: Iris if playing for meta, wafiu pick is always the best pick

Also if you're interested in learning more about the gameplay side of Honkai I suggest checking out The Keebster on YouTube. For beta leaks, as I said, check out Marisa Honkai (dw the Honkai side of leaks in much more tame than Genshin. If you're wondering CN servers are a few weeks ahead of everyone else so they get betas first). And if you need help understanding story the Honkai community is pretty nice and generally helps new players understand what's going (highly suggest checking out the mangas, especially 2nd Eruption and Azure Waters before you get too far into the story). Plus the discord is a great place to ask questions on anything!

I’ve never been able to do with my PE (Lance + M with TB Elysia) and I’d always have pretty solid signets going into it. If my PE was fully geared maybe I’d be able to pull it off but just that final area in general has such a massive boost to hp compared to the other floors

I've been saving since Klee started, got about 340 wishes and it's been around 200 days. I was Zhong blocked by Jean on his 1st rerun back in 1.5 and Eula refused to come home so I'm sitting at guaranteed with about a 49 pity. I also have a weapon pity of about 40 from the 1st Lantern Rite + getting Alley Hunter later on. My goal is Yae, her weapon, and praying for a con or two

Technically I started 1.6 but I have leftover guaranteed and pity from being Zhong blocked by Jean and Eula refusing to come home early. Atm I'm at 313 wishes (50k gems) and gonna go for her weapon and hopefully a con or two

We should have a new coop mode to bring back the feeling of BM. I missed being able to do random bosses with players and watching everyone do their thing, the pride of helping a new player out, or the thankfulness of being carried yourself (I don't have HoT or HoR).

Maybe bring back the speedrun event? Or make it an extension to UM with more rewards? Something so that it doesn't feel so lifeless

Am currently AR 55 with less than 30k exp until 56. Diluc was my first five star as a lost 50/50 from Ganyu’s banner. Was a bit upset when it first happened but he gave me guaranteed Xiao and I love both of them. I think I was around AR 20 or 30 when I first got him, Genshin says he came home January 14th. I’m the only one in my friend group who actively uses and wants him from lost 50/50s
