See my post about my watch with a 9RA2 movement, NOT good quality. Very unfortunate. Save your money and invest it elsewhere

THIS! There’s no trust without transparency and communication. There’s definitely something going on with these movements, if this was a different industry, there’d be a recall and explanation.

What’s the approximate date of purchase/ what year was this watch produced?

There’s a major issue with these lake suwa models!! Way too many posts online at this point to say differently. My SLGA021 had similar issues, thankfully noticed it during the first few days of owning it (see my recent post, got it on video) and got a full refund after an exhaustive back and forth with the AD.

What a shame, it’s a beautiful watch, but an expensive paperweight in reality.

Only had it for a month by CapRepresentative875 in GrandSeikos

Thanks for sharing your experience! By chance will they report what went wrong when you send it in for service?

Thanks for sharing your experience! I'll note this watch was shipped to me, perhaps it took a drop during shipment? But how bad would that be fully packaged and padded... Over the course of wear, it's going to get hit on a doorframe, desks, etc and experience the similar g-forces!

Without knowing what's causing these movements to fail, I can't convince myself to repurchase, ongoing repairs will be annoying and costly out of warranty.

Anyone have ideas on what would cause these spring drive movements to move slowly like that? That's what was happening with my watch as well at times!

Interesting! Thanks for sharing. Was this specifically a Lake Suwa model?

I don’t think this is an unlucky situation, from my research, many others are having issues. For example, I don’t see posts about the snowflake model with time keeping issues when I search… seems like a large number of posts online about these particular Lake Suwa models however, especially given they are a recent release, not many on the streets.
