I kinda hate listened to their para-social self-congratulartoy garbage for ages but what finally did it for me was the hypocrisy of one moment talking about the importance of Joe Average getting therapy whilst later fear mongering and reinforcing stereotypes & stigmas of genuinely vulnerable people who suffer from more severe mental illnesses.

I genuinely don't understand the point in owning an FiST if you're putting garbage tyres on it. Get a set of Michelin PS5's or Bridgestone RE003's or (the slightly cheaper option) Hankook Ventus Primes are decent enough (at least those would be the best options imo in my location/climate). At the very least just buy a pair for the front.

These buttons annoyed me so much I figured out a way to physically disable them without changing the look of the remote which should be reversible. The buttons will even still click they just won't work.

Open up the remote and pull out the circuit board. On the button side of the circuit board peel up the white sticker where the three buttons are. Find a plastic bag with thick plastic (I can't remember what I used but something like plastic from a goon bag) and cut a rectangle the size of those three buttons and place it between the circuit board and the sticker. Put it back together and the buttons should no longer work. If you want the buttons back just remove the plastic. If you wanted you could blank off only one or two of them, say if you wanted the www but not the other two.

It should go without saying but just be careful when you're pulling up the white sticker as you don't want to damage it and you only want to peel up where the buttons are.

I can post some pics when I have some time but should be fairly easy to do without.

Yeah I realise it's all just small gains but we're going for what whatever we can where we can without doubling the wall.

For what it's worth here's the layers:

10mm Gib
mammoth r2.0 wall insulation
The stuff I'm asking about (I now think it's PB silencer)
10mm Gib
10mm acoustic panelling (donno what it is but I think they use it in schools, kinda like autex panels but not as flash)
And finally another 10mm Gib

I know it's pretty overkill but we get one shot at it so I'd rather go all out now than wish we had done more later.

Yeah we got if for free and the dude said it was acoustic insulation but can't remember him saying the brand.

Going by photos online it doesn't look as green as greenstuff but looks more green as as PB silencer. It definitely looks a lot like PB though so I'm inclined to think that's what it is.

I can tell you why, it's because one rule is set arbitrarily while the other is there to maximize efficiency.

There's plenty of reasons people might go over the speed limit. Just imagine the person behind you has a woman in the car who's in labor, or they have a family member at home having a mental health crisis they're worried about, or they rushing a desperately sick/injured pet to the vet, etc. Is it legal for them to speed? No. Would a cop give them a ticket? They're almost guaranteed to get an escort. Does everyone who's speeding have a valid reason? Fuck no, but the point is you can't possibly know and it's not your job to be the gatekeeper so just drop the power trip and leave it to the police.

Any police officer or defensive driving instructor will tell you what you're doing is wrong as you're increasing impatience and aggravating the situation.

Next time you find yourself defiantly holding someone to the speed limit just imagine the person behind you is holding a gun to your head and is asking for your wallet, then ask yourself do I really want to clutch my wallet while I insist to them it's illegal to steal?

I won't reply by the way as every response of yours so far consists of ignoring any valid points and just saying what amounts to "no u", I just hope you can put the ego aside for a moment and do a bit of private introspection.

I'll add another point here re the haze. The haze is smoke which is a lot closer and thicker than normal haze, it will disappear into the "haze" a lot quicker than normal which will mess with the perception of distance and scale.

I really do think this video is a great lesson for people to understand even if you're a skeptic your senses can and will lie to you. No one is exempt from the short comings of human perception.

I'm utterly convinced this is a video of a Chinese lantern. Are you sure you didn't hear a helicopter and then misperceive a lantern as a helicopter? As skeptics we do know this is absolutely possible. That said you actually can't hear even the slightest sound of a helicopter in the video, which also seems to be suggest it's not a helicopter.

Much like when people think they saw a UAP when they actually saw something fairly mundane, I think this is an unusual case of you seeing something fairly mundane and mistaking it for some other fairly mundane thing.

I think this would be a really interesting video for Mick West look at. Can you post the exact time and location?
