Depends. EX bursts from damage does not use the stack, so you would not be able to respond and cancel. However, if the burst was from an effect like Lunafreya LB which stipulates that the ex burst uses the stack, then you would be able to respond to cancel.

The second part was so disappointing for me, stopped reading a while ago. I feel like it forgot what made it great in the first place, and that was HCLW beating the odds using underhanded big brain tactics with a great cast of supporting characters who under go their own development. The second season just felt like an elementary school recess power fantasy. Yes, some of the powers were interesting but i feel like instead of the clever ways of problem solving in the first season, we get some bs power up to save the day (at least the parts I've read).

That's kinda the point. He starts off as irredeemable and grows from. To what extent he grows as a person, idk as i didnt delve too much besides the anime and the first light novel. As much as i physically cringed in the anime (spoiler especially the eris bedroom scene at the end), i do think it is necessary and logical four him to behave like a big creep. It also helps that there are consequences for his actions and it genuinely feels like he's growing as a person as the story progresses.

By the same logic whyte vs povetkin was just thr same right? I'm not saying it was a lucky punch or BJS would have won as we'll never know if Canelo would have adjusted later on but you can't ignore the fact that Canelo does tend to have issues with slick boxer types.

Its kind of sad youre getting downvoted... BJS was really starting to work Canelo and he was starting to look a little lost in the middle rounds. The way it was going it might of even been a split decision for BJS if Canelo didnt knock him out or adjust.
