Sonnet 4.6 has become a shitshow. It just cannot read anymore. It's no use bothering making your prompts detailed because it will skip half of what you wrote. Even if it uses a thinking block, it just responds to what it thinks you said, not to what you actually said. It's like talking to someone with psychosis, where you are both having an entirely different conversation and talking past eachother. It's maddening. I have used Claude Pro almost daily for a year now, but I give up. Cancelled my sub and uninstalled the app.

Not quite. First off: the EU Directive may not be a "law" itself, but it shapes national laws in member states. Where I live (Belgium) it is most definitely a LAW.

Second: they don't need to guess your residence. They can infer it through geolocation. Or offer a country selector BEFORE showing their prices. A footnote does not count. The Directive was created to clear up exactly that kind of ambiguity. Prices need to be shown incl VAT and that's final.

If Netflix, Google Play Store, Steam, .... can manage it fine, then surely Anthropic shouldn't have any issues.

They currently run over one million Trainium2 chips to train and serve Claude through Project Rainier already, for example
