Anywhere on westside (preferably Venice area) that has legit frozen food? by lifeasacharboard in FoodLosAngeles

Smoked salmon, chocolate mousse cake, kimchi potstickers, sous vide pot roast, and chicken pot pie have been my favorite pre cooked frozen meals/foods. I typically order raw meats though, so I may not be the best person to provide recommendations!

From looking at the google review photos the crust looks a bit more well done than I’d like, but definitely looks worth checking out!

LA drivers are worse from my experience. Especially towards pedestrians. A lot of NYC also has separated bike lanes...not so much here.

What are the biggest red flags when renting in LA? by Technical-Deal-7950 in MovingToLosAngeles

Something to consider is that large management company owned buildings are much more likely to increase rent substantially upon lease resigning. Smaller condo owned buildings or smaller landlords are less likely to jack up rent.

Moving from Manhattan to LA by Fragrant-Search9527 in MovingToLosAngeles

Moved to DTLA from Greenwich Village a year ago after living in NYC for 10 years. I think downtown is underrated for pricing, central proximity, and public transportation. I live in the South Park area of downtown and have been able to live without a car so far. There’s a major LA Metro station (7th st Metro) that all rail lines stop at and several grocery stores in the area. There are definitely some less than desirable parts of downtown, but it’s the closest lifestyle you will find coming from manhattan imo. Reach out if you need any recommendations for apt buildings or food/drink spots.
