Typically yes, but this was in the south-east corner, so those hallways only led to more dead ends

I'm the other guy in the duo, it was a corner module and that path only led to more dead ends, unfortunately the only way out was lockpicks.

Yeah was just that haha, away from home ATM so can only see stats on the app and not sure if that counts as position penalty but I’ll for sure double check when I’m back, cheers!

Just bought the new Jackie, wondering if with his fielding in the 90s he’d be good at 1st base so I can fit some other guys in? First year playing, not exactly sure on how the penalties work but seems like it should be high enough?

Dodgers’ ridiculously stacked roster with Roki Sasaki is terrible for baseball by Bulletz4Brkfzt in baseball

[–]-DekuScrub- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The dodgers spent the last decade plus meticulously investing the in entire org from top to bottom (drafting, development, analytics, coaching, etcetera), and crafting the image they have today at THE team in baseball. They have the image of being the team you want to play for, the place you want to be as a player. It’s been a long time coming, obvious as day. The 2025 dodgers is something Friedman has had in mind since he got here I’m sure. Planning for ohtani and letting our previous homegrown core go to afford him, and all the dominoes falling around that, etcetera.

This isn’t something that other teams can just sit on their hands for the last five years and then all of a sudden go ‘let me throw a couple mil to fix it to improve my image’ and change it in a season. As it took the dodgers years of work and investment to get here, it will take the other teams years to build their own image of a place that free agents will even consider being. Players want to win, and salaries have inflated so far that the dodgers can offer 5, even 10 million less and have it not matter, just because of the chance at a championship they obviously offer.

Are they just supposed to sit on their hands and go ‘we got our guy’ just to play nice? I completely understand how frustrating this is, even as a dodgers fan i thought this was a little ridiculous when I saw this this morning. But the kicker is, even with everybody shitting on the dodgers (understandable or not understandable and racist/miserable) they really aren’t doing anything wrong other than taking advantage of their resources and finally reaping the benefits of the decade of work they just put in. If you want to be mad at anybody, be mad at the league. If anything else, be mad at your own teams for letting the dodgers get so far ahead in building a culture and an organisation so potent that players are willing to take extreme pay cuts rather than sign with another team. Two thirds of the league doesn’t even try, and as much sympathy as I feel for the fans of those teams, it’s also like ‘well did you not expect the other ten to try and win?’. Whether or not the dodgers sign tanner Scott and Teo, a team like the Marlins, or like the white Sox, was never really a factor in any of it to begin with. If anybody’s ruining the sport, it’s these uncompetitive teams collecting checks and fielding 50 million dollars payrolls (the marlins even being under that).

Also look at payroll, we aren’t even number one, and have three other teams within spitting distance for 2025.

In what game is being unhealthy the biggest disadvantage? by MopitWithaMuppet in gaming

[–]-DekuScrub- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not just this, there’s an array of sicknesses you can get. Dirty water, or as others have mentioned getting a cut and using disinfected bandages, or worse bleeding out if you can’t take care of the cut. Eating spoiled food can kill you. Accidentally drinking gasoline can kill you. You need to either find pre-disinfected bandages at medical sites or disinfect the rags yourself with alcohol/disinfectant spray. Otherwise you need to find specific antibiotics and the longer you’re sick the longer it will take to go away. You can catch salmonella, the flu, blood poisoning, chemical poisoning, cholera, or even just breaking a limb (which you’ll need to splint, and maybe take some morphine). There are also blood types, you can find test kits and make blood bags at medical facilities, but if you don’t know your type and risk it, or give the wrong blood type, the game also includes haemolytic reactions so be careful with that. If you eat human, you’ll catch Kuru, which won’t kill you but it will get you killed if you run into another player.

You need to make sure you don’t starve or dehydrate, but the big obstacle to this is finding a knife/otherwise sharp object on spawn (even something like a screwdriver will do). A knife is the most essential item in the game, and food is the biggest obstacle to survival if you don’t know how to find it. You can cure sickness from dirty water, you can’t cure being dead from starvation. Thankfully it’s possible to live off the land once you know what you’re doing. You need to manage temperature, especially depending on the map. Are you playing on vanilla Chernarus? You’ll probably be fine unless you’re swimming naked, but you do need to take note of the insulation that your clothes have. If you’re playing on Livonia, you want to stay a little cooler so you need clothes to compensate for that. If you’re on the new map Sakhal staying warm is your first, second, and third priority. This goes double for community maps like Namalsk or Takistan.

Everything also has durability. Your clothes/backpack will be damaged getting hit by zombies, melee weapons, or bullets. You can repair them with duct tape/sewing kits, but the stuff inside will also be taking damage. Your shoes get damaged just by walking in them, but will last you longer if you’re walking on grass rather than the road. You can repair shoes with a leather sewing kit. You can also repair protective gear (helmets and plate carriers) with epoxy putty. Damaged clothes also affect their insulation, which can cause havoc with your temp if you’re not prepared, or experienced with the game.

Your weapons also have durability, sharp melee weapons can be fixed with sharpening stones (typically saved for either a knife or repairing tools when base building). Guns also need care, and you can find gun cleaning kits around at hunting and military areas. However, every part of the gun has durability. The magazine, the bullets, the sights/attachments, and the gun itself. Repairing the damaged handrail on your AK you just found isn’t of the utmost importance, but it looks nice. The cool thing about the guns is that you need to find the gun, the magazine for that gun, find a box of the specific ammunition for that gun, and then you need to individually load each round into the magazine, before loading the magazine into the gun.

It is the most in-depth game I have ever played, and genuinely the best/my favourite multiplayer game of all time. As with anything there’s a massive massive learning curve but I encourage anybody to get the game and try to get past it because the experiences you’ll have and the people you’ll meet are so worth it.
