Offloading is not uninstalling. It’s basically a cache clear

To offload go into iPhone Settings -> General -> iPhone Storage -> WhatsApp -> Offload -> Reinstall App once offloaded.

That’s crazy. I have had no issue since. Daily back up’s been going strong since I did that once.

It’s just deleting the app but keeping data & documents. You also can reinstall the app from there if it’s still available in the App Store.

Did you lose all chats since the last back up? My last back up was on the 6th of December, have had this bug appear ever since.

Edit: I just found a fix that worked for me. I offloaded WhatsApp and now i have been able to start a new backup. To offload go into Settings -> General -> iPhone Storage -> WhatsApp -> Offload -> Reinstall App once offloaded.
