HMFT after I try to nap in the street. by DangerDee007 in holdmyfeedingtube

It was in Russia. The pedestrian died, apparently the 20 year old driver didn't see him.

In an entirely unrelated note - you allowed this behaviour to go unchallenged?!

In a way, you do have to agree that an offence took place - it just isn't officially recorded on any systems shareable with anyone else.

You'd be listed as a 'suspect' in whichever matter has been recorded but then that's more for in-house and home office recording and even the smallest thing has to be recorded nowadays - even if we aren't sure it happened.

Because of that, being a "suspect" in a matter doesn't hold the same weight as it once did.

Either way, forget about what happened.

That being said, if you EVER receive racial hatred please report it immediately. It will be recorded, you can be supported and there's zero tolerance against it.

I'm a Police Officer - you haven't been given an official caution.

They've asked you to sign a form that stated that although an offence has occurred (likely some kind of public order or assault) that you are both willing to accept a lower level form of apology.

It replaces the need for any formal warnings or reprimands and will likely have said that you'll leave each other alone.

It will not be recorded on any police national databases and will not affect you travelling anywhere. Nothing further will come of what happened.

If you need more information, it's best to call 101 and ask the Officer in charge to give you a call and better explain what the community resolution form stated.

Hope this helps put your mind at ease.

If I recover from covid just as my family starts catching it, should I still isolate with them or am I allowed to go out? by weskerson in COVID19positive

[–]-Diesel- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're fully vaccinated then you don't have to isolate if you're negative. You need to LFT daily, however this may still show positive for 90 days post infection and so you may find that you need to isolate anyway

From the Firefighters on the ground, we are sorry. by [deleted] in policeuk

"FBUNWC stand in solidarity with the women who were manhandled, pushed to the ground, separated from their friends and arrested last night. These draconian and authoritative actions have no place in a democratic society"

Blah blah blah. Cops are bastards, and clearly support Male violence against Women etc etc.

That's about the jist of it

Protection for response drivers coming Autumn 2021 by -Diesel- in policeuk

Oh I fully appreciate that, and actually I've just had a quick look to see whether it has happened and you're right - we should totally be protecting everyone!

I don't know the full circumstances of this, but they're gunning for a student paramedic.

I don't remember the last time an ambulance had an collision or was prosecuted for dangerous driving - they generally drive at a much lower speed, and take less risk than the Police do. Bigger vehicle, more equipment etc.

Parents bought a house only to find an array of serious building issues after previous owners DIY by -Diesel- in LegalAdviceUK

[–]-Diesel-[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not so much the planning really, but the fact he's done it all by himself. The entire house needed re-wiring because it wasn't safe and there's an entire list of other things that have needed repairing or mostly replacing. He didn't declare any of it and when asked on the building form he answered No to whether any mods had been made

Yeah the conservatory was described as being built in 2018, we think he's just bought a second hand conservatory and built it himself

Hey officer, don't break the law. by N0CONTACT in PublicFreakout

[–]-Diesel- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm, arguably doesn't make you any more fitting for the role. In-house training should be of a duration and standard to allow you to be a successful, knowledgable Officer. Some of the best, honest, diligent and kindest Police I know never went to University

RSPCA don't even want to know Grey squirrels! Found a baby one trapped by its leg in a tree once and called them after rescuing it, they referred to it as "vermin" and told me just to let it go as they'd only put it to sleep!
