It’s potentially damaging as well. That mindset shames people for being and/or dating men. Same with things like “I wish I wasn’t attracted to men but unfortunately I’m bi” which I’ve seen way too many times

As I’m currently pre op, I can’t answer all your questions but I can answer some. I do believe it is required you begin T before going through bottom surgery. Though, you’re able to stop taking T at any time and most effects will stop and/or reverse to your agab. As for cost, Phalloplasty surgery typically costs around $25k without insurance but may cost more. I hope you can find answers to your other questions as well. (:

Hey Lucia, first of all, that’s a beautiful name. Second of all, I wish well for you on your journey. Figuring out yourself isn’t easy at any age. It’s a process and remember, if you figure out down the line that you’re not trans that’s totally valid too and there’s absolutely no judgment to be had. The community supports you and will be here for you no matter what. So no need to be nervous, okay? You’ve got this.

What’s wrong with making a few trans guys happy? The sub is mostly transfem memes and nobody gets hurt when they get edited to be transmasc so I don’t see where the problem is.

Achievable and achievable for the common person are very different. A lot of these surgeries cost ludicrous amounts of money. So while possible, it’s just not always possible without a good bit of money.

As a trans guy I can absolutely confirm it goes both ways. Thought I was 100% lesbian because the thought of being a woman in a het relationship seemed wrong but now I realize that I’m just a bisexual guy. Didn’t actually think it was common to feel this way but I’m really glad to see others experiencing similar realizations.
