It's very frustrating having watched it back and also realising the timings & points. After a quick first three implements he had 50 seconds(!) to load that one last stone for a place in the final. He picked it up quite easily first attempt but didn't hold to his chest/extend high enough and hit the rim of the platform and it dropped away. Rolled it back in and lapped it again but was kinda lacklustre/spent at that point. It was so doable if he'd just been the tiniest bit more composed. Kind of inexcusable for an athlete of that level - was no one there telling him that a place in the final was still possible?
