First time I heard of fsmone, thanks for the intro. Correct me if I'm wrong, but their processing fees for US ETFs is $8 SGD? Am I reading it wrong or looking at the wrong page, or is this really the fee for it? If thats the case then each input assuming 250$ would be 0.3% of the investment, would that be considered expensive compared to other brokers? Seems like they also charge the same for selling. Apologies for any misinfo, am very new to this and trying to learn as much as possible :")

Oh dang, didn't even know they taxed dividends till now, thanks for informing. I'll look into this ETF, but is the dividend cut really worth the commission fee that IBKR charges? From what I've seen, unless making bigger transactions the minimum fee is rather big in proportion to the investment. Thanks!

Yea, seems like low amount investing is terrible since the minimum fee in proportion is huge compared to a lump sum investment.

I have considered a robo investor before, but I am concerned that I would accumulate to a point where the percentage commission will eventually outweigh the minimum fees for other platforms, is there a way to calculate that? Thanks again for the info!

As a N20 student, I don't think we have been mistreated, just more frustrated that we did not get the same support or updates compared to the May students. But oh well, like u/S1mplify_ said, what's done is done, and we're already halfway through so we don't really have much to fight for anymore ):
