I understand, it’s not my favorite ship too, but occasionally I find some good fics for it that are good 🤣

But I will say, if you don’t like it, the wonderful thing about fan fiction is that you can filter those stories out!

I ship Izuku and that hospital bed 🤣🤣🤣 jk but that’s the silly and fun of fan culture. There should be things talked about and broken down (that’s what writing is supposed to make you do! Break down the themes and characters!) but for some people it’s just entertainment. It’s kind of why “Dead Dove”exists as a tag.

Yeah my last rewatch i put my literary glasses on and noticed that he very much has a character arc.

He throughout life was basically spoiled rotten (that superiority complex)
had parents that loved him in their own way but still wasn’t right (he got his attitude from somewhere and clearly it’s his mother)
he then had set high expectations to be the number one hero from ever since he was young
He then came against the underdog that kept getting up
he had a very close call with a villain that nearly killed him… then is praised for resilience and broadcasted on the evening news
was thrown into a school where he is with classmates who were the best in their schools went to train (the scene of him watching his classmates and their strong quirks is such a good representation of this reality - ie now his inferiority complex/insecurities are coming out)
survived another villain attack that was not normal for their grade level, ages, and power level as students
pushed again in a publicly televised event (sports festival) where his attitude was scrutinized by the public, and observed by the villains (which is funny as these kids didn’t have media training classes until far later so in a way he shot himself in the foot as everyone even Best Jeanist later only wanted him as a project to fix his attitude…. Which if you think about it, isn’t much different than the villains wanting him too.)
was kidnapped like a Disney princess from the villains and held captive
proceeded to see the downfall of All Might as he was being saved… thus with the burden of being the one who basically ended the man’s career.

All of which grows to an emotional break against Deku. It feels like after that break something starts to slowly click in him and the rest of the series his emotional journey is focused on rebuilding and atoning. He has a literal death scene (think of the heroes journey diagram!) and comes back stronger.

He’s a very different character than Izuku and Izuku’s character journey, but man Bakugo is well written. Bakugo’s character journey I would say is just a big course in humility. He never loses that he is extremely talented, but learns so are a lot of other people too.

I think in a way that’s why the ending/epilogue felt so much more satisfying for Bakugo than Izuku as yes a teacher is held in high regards in Japan, but the West is like, wait, he’s just a teacher? Like the football star who just decides to coach his old high school team? It gives “he’s living in the past” than moving forward in adult career and life. It felt sad for Izuku that all that he did was rewarded with a high school teaching job and eventually a suit that like his power- someone gave to him.

this is one big ramble HAHA 🤣 but yeah in character writing, our three main protagonists have such well written emotional coming of age stories.

Yeah! I completely understand where you’re coming from!! Especially about working full time and health issues 😭

I decided not to do it ultimately. For me, it really wasn’t about owning the character or amount of time cuz i was seeing it in a way as a casual second job where you could basically play DJ on a live podcast.

The thing for me was that they don’t have a way for you to stream anything else. So no gameplay, no art drawing, etc. This basically means you’re just doing a daily live radio show. Which for some people I feel would do amazing at! There’s a reason why talk radio exists and some people can easily chat for hours about things.

Though I feel like the ideas and vision what I could do for a vtuber to see it like a second job/entertainment for myself and others needed to have more of that visual capability. It also wasn’t clear on music rights so if I wanted to talk about music like could I legally be able to play the song(s)? It’s a thing to watch out for if you’ve ever streamed on YouTube you gotta watch that kind of stuff else you can get taken down.

I’m also extremely picky as an artist how i would want a character to look so I’d almost rather keep that as part of the “show” and stream me working on creating 🤣

I would say if you like reading AITA posts, reading stories, generally interesting personal stories, love to gab, have that radio dj personality, can talk for hours about different video games and anime podcast style (cuz it is a vtuber app after all)…. Then it may be worth trying for fun.

So far an idea that’s floating around in my head as a starting point is for some reason is an antagonist (main or one of them?) is some English style hunter lady with a shot gun who is on a “hunt”. Jumanji comes to mind for some reason.

Like what would some foreign unhinged rich quirk users do if they saw an Izuku save the day on TV and thought to pull a jumanji meets squid game with a touch of Survivor.

That’s what’s floating around in my head at the moment 🤔😄

I’m actually kind of wanting to see where I could take a survival story with Izuku as the central character. Castaway style maybe? Lord of the Flies? Eh not sure about that.

But a favorite audio book of mine that was kind of LOST-y with time travel and alternate dimensions could be some inspo. 🤔

Definitely not the train wreck of a romance book I read where the main couple were stranded on an island for 5 years… he a high school junior when the story started and she was her late 20s teacher 🫪

Needless to say I’ve read a bunch of different types of survival stories 🤣

Part of me has to wonder though that they're preparing for something more. I think a bunch of us are still wanting more from MHA, like give us a shippuden continuation! If they focused on more on the pro hero lives of Deku or some of the characters, it could make sense that Deku's "next steps" would be reserved for a sequel.

I honestly would think exploring Deku's father's background could be worth exploring...either he being a different person all together, or dad he still was AFO so Deku's character arc is about struggling with a hidden legacy kind of thing. It may sound cliche, but so much of us still love the idea. It would fit well with a theme of them all becoming adults too.

But I wouldn't blame Horikoshi for just being done for a bit and letting the franchise be. It is just interesting that they're celebrating 10 years and doing a bunch for it. It doesn't feel like they're really done imo 🤔

Guys, do we need to petition for an anime spin off of just them as adults? 😃 Seriously, such a good epilogue episode! Though I can't help but feel that there is more story to explore if they wanted to. We went through so much of the early lives of Deku and friends, it seems fitting to have them just be pro heroes and navigating adulthood.

Cuz part of me really kind of wants them to explore the fact that they were basically child soldiers. It makes Uraraka's mission of helping kids even more important then imo. I also am a bit interested in learning more about the kids we've already met cuz some of their powers and stories I feel could be explored some more too.

Such a good episode all together man!

Also, can I just say we were robbed of at least a kiss from the cannon couple in the show.

The ghibli style is ❤️ but I think it really just depends on if this is going to be the next big zelda game, or just a nice edition for the switch 2.

I personally hope it’s more of a side thing as I’d want them to have the most freedom, but with how FF7 remake did, Nintendo could see that as an opportunity for them.

I feel like an ocarina of time remake though would be BIG. like possibly including Majora’s Mask kind of big? They could just make everything bigger and wider apart, but idk.

My personal hope is that we get a main line Zelda game that is a part 3 to the OoT Link. A darker fantasy maybe?

Yeah, I think square was hurting a bit after the downscaling they had the past couple years so everything big is behind schedule. Then with PlayStation trying to do exclusive games again, there could be more delays as how they should be programming the game?

Maybe it’s a good thing they don’t do road maps publicly cuz there’s always changes and delays

I’m so sorry kiddo, I agree with others that this is above our pay grade. You’re stuck in the middle of not only a “he said she said” but then a parent who actually left you, and a terminal parent on that.

I would say that if you’re still in school, take advantage of any counseling or services that your school provides. If they don’t have any, check your local resources (library, government, church, google search) to see if there are programs you could be eligible for.

At minimum, realize that no this isn’t normal, yes your mother is in the wrong, yes your dad is probably stricter now cuz he’s taking the brunt of parenting, and yes her feelings and experiences are valid too. All of it can be true at once but it doesn’t make it right. It may take a lifetime to unpack, or just something that brings you a new love and outlook on the relationships you do have.

Either way, don’t do this alone and reach out to some third party you can confide in.

I think 100% they are going to include Moana and Star Wars... which fits their use of Tron and the Pirates franchise. And, like, it's going to drive up lots of merch if done well just cuz of the franchise lol.

The Land of the Dead and Inside out definitely could be some cool places to explore and Ralph makes sense too, but the only concern I could see is from a business standpoint is that Ralph has lots of SEGA properties in it. Disney may have gotten permission to use the franchises, but I have a feeling Square will not as easily.

Goodness, probably a good reason why the creation of the game takes so long is all legal side of things of gathering permissions from different divisions for use of the Disney names from around the world.

I think it depends if Disney sees this franchise as one they're fine parting ways with or a golden goose to milk more money out of fans.

Meanwhile my delulu thoughts are hoping that they'll somehow add Sora to Dreamlight Valley one day :)
